As much as I make fun of Percy for being down bad from day one what I really love is that he truly thinks this is regular friend behaviour. He’s unleashing his inner wattpad mafia boss for Annabeth, has her picture on his mirror, promises he’d burn down Olympus for her, seems offended there’s ‘another’ boyfriend and thinks it is purely platonic. And the best part is Percy is such a loverboy in all meanings of the world that that genuinely is understandable because he is simultaneously going to the sea of monsters for Grover, having Grover’s picture on his mirror, telling Grover he looks beautiful in a wedding dress, embracing Grover like the husband he presumed missing at sea and being so soulmated to his best friend that they dream together.
The sirens had no effect on Percy because the only thing on his mind was making sure Annabeth was safe. This is insane. This is the most accurate Percy-fatal -flaw-tunnel-vision-Jackson ever.
Annabeth's fatal flaw making her think she could save them, and almost getting her killed, and Percy's fatal flaw actually saving them because the fact that she was in danger shielded him from everything else? It turns out that her fatal flaw ultimately saved him in the end, too. They saved each other!
This is the most soulmate thing in the whole world, when you are both unbelievably and irreversibly flawed, but your flaws complement each other in a way where neither of you could survive on your own, but together you can get through impossible things.
#biblically accurate percabeth
The implications of a child of Aphrodite witnessing Percy’s devotion to Annabeth’s safety and coming to the conclusion that winning this war will be easier than they thought…
Titan’s Curse we are so not ready for you omg
Other side of the spectrum, an Aphrodite kid on camps side seeing Percy's devotion to Annabeth and her safety and thinking "Winning this war might be easier then we thought"
Because now they know that if Annabeth is in danger Percy will just raze over enter lands to get to her and keep her safe
It really is so disturbing to see a Percy Jackson without the inner monologue.
In the books, even if he was absolutely slaying, eating, serving BAMF in the middle of the fight, the book would be saying like "gosh I'm so awkward and clumsy haha who let me hold a sword lol I'm such a silly goose"
In the show we see him in pain and literally doing the most insane stuff with the most stoic facial expressions. Killing, stabbing, getting stabbed. He isn't some quirky funny kid on the outside, even if canonically on the inside he sees the world like a real kid. The show Percy seems different for these reasons but that's not OOC, that's just what Percy looks like to EVERYONE ELSE.
thank you for coming to my TED talk
Percy "I am impertinent" Jackson 👏👏👏👏
Full clip of Titans Curse first look!!
I think Percy should be possessive as a treat
I also think he should feel guilty about it as well and think of it has another trait he got from his father. I want him to wrestle with his most basic instincts with wanting to be better than his godly side and being the son who Sally taught to respect women
Especially with that asshole Gabe treating his mother like he owned her. (I need him to die an even worse death actually) I think he should do the classic Mer thing where they hoard things they love
I think he should have the instincts to drag Annabeth under the water and keep her there because that’s where he can best protect her. Except he isn’t able to tell that his subconscious quite literally cannot comprehend why she wouldn’t be able to breathe down there, so he feels extremely guilty that he wants to (in his view) drown her. He gets bitey around her, teeth itching in a way that makes him uncomfortable.
Meanwhile Annabeth, THE abandonment issues expert, loves it when he gets possessive. It settles the little voice in her head that tells her this won’t last forever. She feels fully safe around him and if that means staying underwater in the camp’s lake then so be it. She quite literally throws herself into his arms just to feel them tighten around her.
Eventually this ends up with them having a conversation (go communication!!) about it. Percy is like “I’m sorry but I want to keep you by my side forever and not have anyone look at you” and he’s like really guilty about it. Annabeth however goes “Percy, that’s quite literally the hottest thing you could’ve ever said to me”
Annabeth... I'd burn it all down.
something silly with them that final summer before percy went mia

something quick I did while I go crazy waiting for the next episode lol
annabeth trying to dismantle a GOD's unbeatable machine because her fatal flaw is hubris and percy just knowing he was going to sit on the machine because his fatal flaw is loyalty THIS FUCKING WRITERS ROOM PLEASE SPARE ME
This Season 1 Episode 5 and Season 2 Episode 5 have my whole heart. It’s peak Percabeth fuel.
They complete each other, they compliment each other. They manage to rescue one another from their own flaws. It’s phenomenal writing. I have no notes.
The actors too, really and truly understand these characters so well. They’re also talented enough to bring those qualities to life in a believable and authentic way. This show is amazing yall. I can’t wait for season 3.
