A Shiny Sylveon plush, for a trade with someone on Pkmncollectors! I love Sylveon but gosh those bows and ribbons are a pain to make.

If you don't mind my asking where do you buy your fabric? I've always wanted to try out making stuffed animals like this but not sure where to look

Hey! The fabric most plush makers use is called Smooth Cuddle, by Shannon Fabrics, more commonly called minky. I buy this fabric mostly from plushaddict.co.uk. They have a nice selection of minky and since they’re in Europe I won’t have to pay import fees. I’ve also looked into minky-europe.com and will be ordering from them in the future (they have an even better selection of colours).

If you’re in the USA, I hear positive stories about theminkyboutique.com. I’ve ordered from fabric.com before and though I was quite satisfied with my order, I’ve read about people receiving wrinkled minky fabric or the wrong colour so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend them.

Other than that I’ve recently ordered from Aliexpress (you can search for “Zyfmptex fabric”). This minky has a somewhat shorter pile than the one from Shannon fabrics, which makes is very suitable for smaller, more detailed plushies (since the details are less likely to get lost in the pile of the fabric). It’s a little cheaper too, but there are not too many colours to choose from as of now unfortunately, though it comes in a few colours that don’t have a Shannon Fabrics counterpart.

This Houndour plush is the third I’ve made (and I’m still not entirely satisfied fhshhshs). This was made for a trade/commission sort of deal. Houndour stands about 10 inch tall, made from minky fabric as usual.
