Stiles' suicidal tendencies started with the bargaining stage of his grief while his mom was sick. "I'd rather die than her" and it never stopped.

Trying to mind my business today but then my brain was like: remember how Stiles Stilinski looks at Derek Hale like he’s both a threat and a very appealing life choice?

Honestly I’m just over here wanting someone to pin me against a metaphorical wall with the same energy those two generate by simply standing within five feet of each other.

Sterek isn’t a ship, it’s a lifestyle problem, and I’m happily afflicted.

i like to believe that this is void stiles getting revenge on derek for not loving stiles back

I have not seen enough people talking about the fact that Stiles got a completely different body after the nogitsune. They will talk about or mention the nightmares, but they won't talk about the body thing. Like, yeah, the possession is over, but it's not really him, is it? This isn't the body he was born with. This isn't his REAL body. It's a magic fake, and it won't ever truly be him. There will be side effects of this, said side effects will fall on a spectrum and go up and down depending on how he handles it and how bad it is, it will fluctuate. Stiles probably won't ever feel right in that body. It won't fit the same way. It will be a constant presence of what happened, and there won't be anything he could do.

if there’s one aspect i could criticize about the writing of teen wolf it’s the in depth backstories of each character only to never talk about it again or develop it any further.

liam’s ied and past school? only used as a prop to further the plot and create conflict (angry man go punch!)

isaac’s abuse and claustrophobia? only mentioned/showed how it effects him one time outside flashbacks (motel california)

theo’s growing up and manipulation with the dread doctors? never mentioned, only lightly brushed over in incoherent flashbacks (yes it shows him being guilty for taking tara’s heart, but not the dread doctors effect on him and torture for him to get where he was)

stiles’ nogitsune trauma? only brought up as a joke after the fact (“i once had a demon living in my head LOL”)

derek hale’s past with grooming by kate? only used to show they know each other, not why what she did was wrong or harmful (doesn’t show the harmful nature of grooming and how derek’s trust would be forever altered because of kate’s abuse of his)

malia living like a coyote for the first ?17? years of her life because she “killed” her own family? “omg you can’t take her anywhere! she likes to eat deer🤣🤣”

allison’s mom killing herself cause she’d rather be anything but a werewolf? mentioned maybe a couple times afterwords

it seems as though they attempt to make the characters deep and thought-out but toss aside the trauma they have given them in order to further the new villian of the week and constant conflict. sometimes i wish that the characters made decisions in conjunction with their prior trauma or showed symptoms of how these events effected them because it’s no secret that they would. i understand that it’s a lot to ask for a super precise and detailed description of how every character is feeling, but with 24 episodes a season, tossing in a couple reflective scenes couldn’t have hurt. i fear that their constant need to one-up their villains took away from the personality and characterization of the show as it kept running.

(this is why i love this fandom so much, because yall do! thank you to the writers who write realistic ptsd or lingering effects of major events)

Alternative 3b arc (more fun, less dark) where they put possessed Stiles in nogitsune prison so he doesn’t do any more damage and so that the Oni won’t get to him and kill him, while they figure something else out. But Derek’s the only one who doesn’t work or goes to school so it sorta becomes his responsibility? It’s literally a make shift magic holding cell? (I don’t know what kinda magic would hold the Oni out, but let’s throw some silver and mountain ash in there and call it a day). And instead of being pure evil, the nogitsune is just a little shit who tries to drive Derek so crazy that he’ll let him out. But Derek doesn’t budge – even though the fox has a lot of stupid riddles and jokes about werewolves. Derek just gives it the silent treatment and keeps reading his book.

At one point the nogitsune grows tired of the lack of response so he lets Stiles take over. And now Derek has to listen to Stiles complain that he’s bored and that’s somehow worse.

Ok but Stiles being Derek’s anchor because he’s so damn human, right? Derek remembers his human side because it’s Stiles. But what about during the nogitsune possession? Maybe Derek starts to struggle with his own control due to the fear of losing his anchor and his anchor for the first time being just as monstrous as he views himself.

Re watching teen wolf as an adult, season 5.

Theo having the audacity to say "you have more blood on your hands than all of us" to Stiles, and then Stiles countering with "I'm about to get more"

I felt that in my bones and all I can say to Theo is...honey...sweet little summer child...you would not have been able to handle void Stiles. Much less have him in a pack with you as an alpha. Dream on!

Also, can we just appreciate Stiles "the weak human" who keeps insisting to have fist fights with supernatural creatures? I have mentioned it before, but he is unhinged!
