I think we all got too quickly over the fact that they KNOCKED HIM OUT AND LOCKED HIM IN A CAGE TO HIT HIM??

So let's recap:

1. Liam is traumatized for life by his teammates for not being "aggressive" enough on the pitch.

2. Liam is obviously terrified and becomes overly aggressive (getting a lot of red cards).

3. Because of the red cards, Liam is benched AND EVERYONE KNOWS WHY but no one lifts a finger to help him.

4. Liam without is only coping/vent mechanism OBVIOUSLY explodes and destroys the coach's car (without ever attacking any of the people actually involved).

5. Liam is diagnosed with IED and put on ANTIPSYCHOTICS which basically sedates him, as if he's totally crazy and there's no clear chain of events that led to the situation he's in.

DO YOU GET IT THAT NO ONE HELPED HIM IN ANY WAY??

with the heated rivalry brain worms, i've been obsessing over jealous Shane so much.

the idea that Ilya is the one people think of when they think possessive, jealous, but Shane can barely contain himself when someone's eyes linger on Ilya.

the idea that another playing slamming Ilya on the ice puts him on Shane's shit-list and a paints a significant target on his back when Montreal plays them next, Shane going in the box upwards of ten times in one game just so he can teach him a lesson. Shane is not able to deal with other people touching what's his.

when Ilya is in the press room, Shane is the traveling team, sitting silently in the back of the audience so as not to be noticed, a reporter lets his gaze linger too long and his questions become to personal and Shane glares at him from his spot in the shadows. Ilya, with a clear view of the room, sees this and lets out a sharp breath, dismissing his question. From then on, Shane ignores his questions when asked in the press room and refuses to acknowledge his presence.

people tend to gravitate towards a jealous ilya because his jealousy would be very action-forward. ilya will tell someone to back off or stop talking while i think shane would file the person's name away for later and get revenge when least expected.

there’s something so intimate about theo and liam seeing the second wave of ghost riders and the split-second reaction coming from the both of them.

liam steels himself and prepares to fight alongside theo in order to protect and ensure the safety of his loved ones *cough* because that’s the only way he knows how.

while theo instantaneously runs back to open the elevator, not for himself though, theo shoves liam in the elevator and sacrifices himself without a second thought, proving to the whole audience that there’s definitely something deeper happening there.

and liam screaming “no!” to theo as the doors close and THROWING himself against them to get back to theo…like you can’t write better romance than that!

liam shows his love by fighting on behalf of someone else and theo shows his love by sacrificing himself for the other. both of which were scenarios they had self-serving-ly performed in the past, as liam would fight on account of his IED -representing his own emotions- and theo only sacrificed other people for the betterment of himself in exemplifying his being as a “success” in the eyes of the dread doctors.

this scene single-handedly showed how the pair are better for each other than they are separate, as they fight for purposes beyond themselves and on behalf of their loved ones as opposed to their prior actions (whether forced upon them or not, this scene shows a break in the cycle).

actions speak louder than words, and when push came to shove, both of them were willing to put themselves in the line of fire to directly ensure that the other is safe, and if that’s not GAY ASF…sorry jeff davis idk what is

top five thiam moment is when theo yells in the zoo for the first time and the first thing liam does is turn around and say: “why are you yelling?!?”

he doesn’t say it in a “you’re an idiot” way or the “i’m pissed at you way,” he just genuinely seems confused as to why theo is randomly yelling😭

to me, this will always show the dynamic the two of them have where they’re willing to listen to each other and go along with their plans, but not before they completely understand why it’ll work and how they have to execute it.

like they definitely will never let the other know that they like the plan or agree with it, but they’ll also never not listen when the other is proposing the idea in the first place.
