"In ancient times cats were worshipped as gods; they have not forgotten this." β Terry Pratchett
Vincent Giarrano - "Morning Light"
Sylvia Plath, from a diary entry featured in The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath
βEverything that needs to be said has already been said. But, since no one was listening, everything must be said again.β
β AndrΓ© Gide, Autumn Leaves
"The evil that is in the world always comes of ignorance, and good intentions may do as much harm as malevolence, if they lack understanding. On the whole, men are more good than bad; that, however, isnt the real point. But they are more or less ignorant, and that is what we call vice or virtue; the most incorrigible vice being that of an ignorance which fancies it knows everything and therefore claims for itself the right to kill."
The Plague, Albert Camus

Find meaning. Distinguish melancholy from sadness. Go out for a walk. It doesn't have to be a romantic walk in the park, spring at its most spectacular moment, flowers and smells and outstanding poetical imagery smoothly transferring you into another world. It doesn't have to be a walk during which you'll have multiple life epiphanies and discover meanings no other brain ever managed to encounter. Do not be afraid of spending quality time by yourself. Find meaning or don't find meaning but "steal' some time and give it freely and exclusively to your own self. Opt for privacy and solitude. That doesn't make you antisocial or cause you to reject the rest of the world. But you need to breathe. And you need to be.
Albert Camus, Notebooks 1951-1959
One's life has value so long as one attributes value to the life of others, by means of love, friendship, indignation, compassion."
- Simone de Beauvoir
βI became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.β
- Edgar Allan Poe, from a letter to George Washington Eveleth, 1846
βLike a compass needle that points north, a manβs accusing finger always finds a woman.β
- Khaled Hosseini
βOne's life has value so long as one attributes value to the life of others.β

βThe man who lies to himself can be more easily offended than any one.β - Fyodor Dostoevsky
