These boys, this team, this sport all have a special place in my heart. I am sad that I won’t get to see this particular team play live as two of them retired from the national team but regardless of that I will continue to support all of them no matter what. Tokyo Olympics is when I heard of them, only learnt three of the members then and it was the three I saw everywhere. Yuyuran aka Yuki Ishikawa, Yuji Nishida and Ran Takahashi.

Finally learnt the rest of the team this year and supported them through the Paris Olympics but was really sad with the end results. I know they played their best in that last match and I was still so so proud of them from putting up the fight they did against Italy.

I hope that one day I will get to see them play volleyball live and not just on a screen, if not all of them then some of them 🫶🏽

In honour of the haikyuu movie being out here’s an Inarizaki manga panel because they’ll always be my top school AND here’s a photo of the two teams the movie was about🥺I loved the movie so so much but I do still wish we got a season 5 or even more seasons cause I would wait years for this series but sadly that won’t happen. The movie was beautiful, the animation, the sound effects and just seeing Nekoma and Karasuno made my heart swell and I wanted to cry.

Another thing I realised after I had finished the movie was that I’m no longer the age I was when I first watched the anime, I’ve grown older and they’re basically still teens playing volleyball and loving it. Haikyuu has a special place in my heart and there are times where I kept thinking if only I watched it when it first started but I don’t have regrets watching it when I did.
