The thing about Scott Summers is that when you first meet him you're like "oh this is like your average lawful good team leader ig he wont be that interesting" and then you learn a bit more about him and you go "damn they're really putting this guy in the torment nexus every three days huh" and by then it's usually already too late cause you start thinking about the implications, right?

It's the onion metaphor. You start peeling a few layers and you think "wow this onion's kinda spicy" then you peel off a few other layers and go "wtf what is it with this raw as fuck onion im crying everywhere" and then the onion punches you in the fucking face
