Love this look! GOT had women sometimes wearing elements of armor but the full look is incredible. No one ever wears chain mail on your head like you should be but its evocative of historical royal looks. The dragon wings, the deranged makeup.

Everyone else also had great armor this episode!

Pausing the episode for a second. As a defender of Daemon’s one Alyssa vision as part of a wider look into his fucked up subconscious view on relationships: what does this do for Aemond’s character at this point? Every other scene has been him turning to the camera and going I HAVE MOTHER ISSUES AND I FEEL INADEQUATE DUE TO MY STATUS AS A SECOND SON like we get it does he have any other thoughts? Opinions? Something to do? Anything besides shock value? Is there a reason we have to spend the entirety of this one character’s screentime on it instead of making it an underlying issue for the whole family (which it is) so it’s not just the same thing with him over and over again? We have the tableau we have the gothic setting we have everything lined up to address the subject now do we have anything to say or do here besides putting one character on stage and going “ooooh yucky” it’s cartoonish

I think we used up all the good targ at harrenhall material with Deamon! Make Aemond even crazier yall. Mommy issues??? He's got mommy, uncle, brother, sister, sister issues. God if you're going to push yucky incest at least fully integrate the targ sibling/rival/lover dynamic. He wants more dragons? Why? For power? For family? Why isn't vhagar here? Or historical evil(ish) siblings Visenya or Meagor.
