She felt a gaze on her back, and a small chill ran down her spine. She turned around and saw his dull olive green eyes land on her face, which was already blushing. When he looked at her it felt like she was flying. Like he took her hand and pulled her away, away from all her problems and concerns. Like he pulled her away into another reality, a better and more peaceful one in which they could reside together. It felt like a warm ray of sunlight basking on her skin, whispering for her to go to sleep. Yet it also felt like a bolt of lightning striking her, sending shockwaves through her bones and screaming for her to get up and run, run far away. She jolted back into reality and found herself looking at him intensely, and quickly turned around. A few moments later, she dared to peek back over her shoulder. He was smiling at her in a funny kind of way, as if to mock her, but gently. She allowed a half smile back, then turned around to continue daydreaming about all the possibilities with him.
