Andrew is annoyed at Henry’s existence because it should not be legal for him to have to tilt his head that far back to talk to someone

Alex and Neil bond over their respective unhealthy obsessions that their boyfriends find annoying

Alex finds Andrew attractive for reasons he doesn’t understand 

its because he likes buff blond dudes who repress all their emotions

Henry has the primal urge to rest his elbow on Andrew’s head but he doesn’t want to die

I wouldn’t say it’s a direct quote but the moments of John B talking to Sarah through the door...he’s so stressed and so badly just wants to hold her yet is incredibly respectful of her boundaries. He knows she’s panicking and hurting but he’ll do whatever he can to keep her calm. Even his attempts to get through the door, like he desperately wants in but he’s trying to do so as calmly as he can to not scare her.

I saw you mention Jarah’s love language is physical touch and I absolutely agree! These moments with a door between them, where all they want is physical touch, shows the strength of their relationship I think. Like yes, they communicate through physical touch but they know how to help each other with their words too!

I just finished reading your AO3 comment and WOW 🤯 it was so detailed and I LOVE THAT.

1: What inspired you to write the fic this way?

I’m gonna take this question and answer it a little bit differently- I’m gonna tell you WHO inspired this fic!! It was a conversation with my sweet friend, Mimi (aka @hellosignificantothers) where we were talking about what the Pogues would do with the gold money if they got it (Mimi did a post about it here). She and I were bouncing ideas off each other that afternoon/evening, and I started outlining my ideas for a fic while we were messaging. It spiraled out of control when we shared a Pinterest board of Chateau renovation ideas 😂

So Mimi inspired me to write the fic this way because she’s the dad to my mom. She contributed at the beginning by reading chapters before I posted them and after the first four, she was like, “ehh, I’ll read them when you post them,” and left me to do all the work, thus fulfilling her dad role lmao. 

5: What part was hardest to write?

Chapter 14 was definitely the hardest to write so far because I had to be sensitive to Sarah’s emotions and the fact that she was having a panic attack after accidentally locking herself in the bedroom. I got emotional writing parts of it because I could feel myself experiencing the heartbreak and struggles Sarah was going through. Research helped me capture the external responses and reactions, but some of the internal thoughts were things I came up with in the moment and compared to writing guides while editing to make it more realistic.

they all have private alt accounts that are a million times more chaotic. they just roast and expose eachother 24/7. alex gets his social media privileges taken away constantly.
