I’m so happy you’re dating a bear. The Magicians | S03E12: The Fillorian Candidate (2018)
I am sick and tired of people with a normal brain telling me I will find love and that its beautiful and slow and long term relationships will eventually be my thing. No. NO. Love wrecks me. I dont process it like normal people. I obsess. And get addicted. Long term relationships are NOT for me i have abandonment issues, attachment issues, mommy issues, daddy issues. And no amount of therapy will ever get fully rid of what is wrong with my brain. I am at my best when I am single. I love loving and even unrequited love. I love love. But love is probably not for me. The only type i would want is the type in movies before they get together and it gets boring. Not all of us are the same and yall need to stop telling your friends who are continuously CHOOSING to be alone that they will find someone its genuinely disrespectful as fuck.
Sometimes I am so angry because I know if it werent for my mental health I would already be a millionaire lol

Some very helpful tools, ideas, and ways keep going or get involved
I will add the resource Big Beautiful Boycott as a way of checking businesses to avoid that is not an app
The Big Beautiful Boycott stops funding to those funding fascism. Every dollar is a choice
anyway hoping that the generative AI bubble pops so disastrously that the tech industry becomes allergic to anything involving it for the next 1,000 years
Like to charge reblog to cast
That ALL industries are allergic to it
Wild cherry is a great reminder and explanation as to why our mums always told us not to go on sleepovers. Has anyone else watched this? It’s incredible.
Watching Wild Cherry, a bbc show - it’s great it really is. But tbh I went into it thinking it was going to be a drama. I just really miss high school dramas without the thriller aspect. I miss the genre of drama and even fantasy that seems like it doesn’t exist anymore. I am grateful to british shows because theyve been the only good ones I have watched this years and feel like they are still actual quality shows. But still i really just want to watch dramas without murder mysteries 😭
Just finished a wonderful book and the author turned out to be the co-founder of AO3 SHOOKETHHH
I just realised how many reblogs this has and had no idea that many didn’t know that Naomi Novik, author of amazing books like Spinning Silver is the cofounder of AO3 🫠 and vice versa lmao I loveeee that this was a bit of a hidden truth I found. I feel very in-the-know
i DON'T need them to kiss i need them to come to the sobering realisation that their souls are merged and no part of them is extricable from the other anymore
Me about quelliot
Just finished my The Magicians rewatch and honestly like… i love this show so much but it was depressing as hell…
Lowkey makes me super sad that actors from fantasy shows always have kinda shit careers after their big hits… take any massive fantasy show- the originals, the magicians, teen wolf, the order, once upon a time… all have incredible actors! Out of all shows maybe 2-3 have had continued work the rest are in very small roles… or have become producers or creators. Nonetheless, it feels kinda sad yknow? Because they are all so talented but most dont have social media presences and a lot of them kinda milk their shows to get most out of it. Idk it makes me feel bad for them. There are so many tv shows and movies rn with absolutely awful acting where i can see some of these people cast but they dont. Idk i dont get it and i think all fantasy shows should have like spin offs and stuff so these incredible actors can have longer careers. Idk maybe i am too much of an empath lol
I've been fascinated for some time by what makes people susceptible to believing that ChatGPT is superior to their own thoughts.
I found this blog post about how ChatGPT can "enhance" journaling. The blog post itself was "co-written" by ChatGPT, and you can tell.
This is one of the most godawful pieces of writing I've ever run across in the wild; incredibly repetitive, rewording the same sentences over and over again and stacking them into interminable paragraphs of empty sludge. There is one "idea" in here, "I tell ChatGPT to ask me questions to help me reflect on myself, and I think that helps me to journal and think in new perspectives," and it is repeated in slightly different words like 50 times.
Expose a copy of Strunk & White's The Elements of Style to this slop and it'll start oozing blood from the pages like in a horror movie.
But the thing is, this guy wasn't always that bad of a writer. You see, I got to that blog post after reading this blog post from 4 years prior, which is about meditation and the difficulty in defining meditation in a way that can be operationalized for objective study, and it is much clearer, more structured, and actually contains ideas in it.
ChatGPT clearly made this guy's writing much, much worse, but he appears to believe that the opposite happened.
His problem isn't "being a bad writer," in fact, he didn't even write the whole thing, ChatGPT did some of it. His problem isn't exactly "inability to evaluate his own writing" either. You see, evaluating your own writing is about asking whether you communicated your ideas in the most effective way possible. This blog post certainly failed, because it argues that you should involve ChatGPT in your writing process while demonstrating very clearly that you should NOT do that. But that is deeper than failing to communicate effectively; that's failing to understand what ideas you have, why you have those ideas, and whether the ideas made it into the writing at all. Possibly, it's a failure to understand if you have ideas.
Is the problem the simple fact that he uses ChatGPT to help him come up with ideas? Potentially. ChatGPT does not contain ideas, it creates statistically plausible writing based upon a large body of data on how writing is constructed. If a person is or becomes susceptible to seeing "ideas" in ChatGPT's outputs, they might begin to have difficulty distinguishing between meaningful and non-meaningful writing. That is, they could lose the ability to tell what makes writing meaningful (as opposed to just technically formed into the shape of an idea)
But is everyone susceptible to that? What makes someone susceptible? Would someone have to have a weak sense of their own thoughts and ideas, or could a strong, accomplished writer that is skilled in expressing themselves fall apart with too much ChatGPT usage?
I don't know. Really interesting case study nonetheless.
How do i explain to people that i dont hate the rich- actually i love the somewhat rich, like the jonas brothers for example who dont come from a craptone of money and have what like a couple multi million of networth each which really isnt a lot and who like donate some money, spend most on like family vacations and shit and idk speak about mental health on podcasts but in an educated manner- no i love them- they remind me that hard work fun and money can go together and be somewhat ethical and almost wholesome. No what i hate is the fckin multi billionaires who dont give a fck about destroyig the planet and find new ways to do it every day and treat the rest of humanity like their personal rats to test shit on like yea fck them
the internet is a place for reading wikipedia articles and watching every movie for free. social media is an invasive species. never forget this
capitalism is crazy because you really do have soda companies committing human rights violations on the level of like, more stereotypically evil industries. to sell and make soda
Rewatching the magicians and lowkey like wow that show is depressing like damn but also that is so much queerbaiting like the connection between Quentin and elliot is there since day 1 and down to s5 they try to convince us otherwise its bs they are so in love
