as she was walking to get herself a drink , it was then that she’d heard the commotion —– damon had made sure that the doors were sealed from any unwanted guests . and from the sound of it ? someone had shown up . he was busy mingling with guests and so she decided to place down her glass and head to the doors . safe inside , thank god . it’s as she turns to the open door that she sees her own face staring back at her , if she wasn’t in the know about doppelgangers , her own evil one , then she’d probably have had a heart attack where she stood . rolling her eyes , she crossed her arms over her chest . “ katherine . ” she breathes , trying to keep the displeasure out of her voice . it was a shame they’d never get on . “ i’m surprised you’d even want to be here , damon made sure you can’t come in . what do you want ? ”     /    @hellunlcashed .

She couldn’t get in. Wonderful, the commotion surrounding her would at least draw some attention. “I just wanted to wish you a happy wedding day, Cupcake.” Her grin was sly, eyes hard as stone and cold as ice. “Come on, just let me in. I want to bask in the glow of eternal love and your little happily ever after. Maybe some of that goodness’ll rub off on me.”

She could feel the warmth of his blood pumping through his veins as he buried into her neck. “You’re still human?” Breathing in the smell of his hair, god how she’d missed his smell.

Caroline’s jaw fell open. “You’re kidding me, aren’t you?” But Lizzie wasn’t joking, that much was evident. “You are not getting married Lizzie. No way in hell.” They’d only just made things up - and now Caroline was sure there was another storm brewing already.

You know what happened to Jo’s family. I don’t regret it, no. But… but what’s happening to Josie, this is something else.”

“Yup,” Caroline’s eyebrows pulled together in a frown. “Maybe she’s been possessed by some evil monster or something?” She hadn’t been around when the school came under siege from dragons, gargoyles and unicorns but she she knew about it. “God, I miss when our biggest problems were worrying what kind of wallpaper to put up in our house in Dallas. Or what kind of engagement ring we were gonna have.”
