(helpful-yellow-inkling, bday starter!) Today is October 8th, which is the bday of both Eika and Eimie. With the two gifts in his grasp, Jesse went ahead and visited the two of them. Of course, he and Eika hang out with each all the time now. However, he and Eimie haven’t seen each other in a while, which made things more exciting for him. He gently knocks on the door and awaits what comes ahead.

Inside the house, a loud excited voice was cheering, while a calmer soft voice followed. As soon as Jesse knocked, the voices went silent. Not even a second later, the door opened.

“Ooooh! Jesse! Yay!!” Eika cheers excited. Her eyes immediately focused on the gifts. “Oooh! Eim! C'mon! Jesse’s here!”

Eika hugged Jesse and giggled. Just then, Eimie saw the happy couple. “Heh.. Hey! What’s up! Long time no see.”

“Howdy! Glad I can make it!” Jesse replies, hugging Eika back with one arm while holding the presents on the other.

“It’s great to see ya again too, Eimie! I’ve taken this opportunity to hopefully see the both of you on this delightful day!” Jesse hands the two presents over to the two girls, which unbeknownst to them, both contain soft, purple sweaters.

“Hope you liked what I picked out! It’s startin’ to get pretty chilly lately, so I figured this would be the right thing to gift y’all.”

Eika opened her gift in less than a second. “Ooooooh! Purple! My favourite!!! Howdya know???”

Eimie opened her gift as well. “Sweet! The best thing out of having a birthday in fall is that you always get the best clothes for the cold weather. Remember that scarf from last year, Eika?”

Eika nodded. “I got you a scarf, but you also got one! I dunno how we managed to gift each other the same gift? It’s almost like we are connected!

Eimie shrugged. "It’s a mystery for everybody. But hey Jesse, let me thank you by inviting you over for dinner! How’s that sound?”

“I’d love that! I appreciate the invite!” Jesse responded, agreeing to Eimie’s offer.

He looks over at Eika. “I’m certain that you too would like me to be there, right sweet pea?” He giggled a bit, then glances over to her sister. “And besides, I haven’t seen ya in ages. Almost felt like I wasn’t gonna see y’again, so in a way, I missed ya!”

Eika giggled and closed her eyes. “I love you Jesse…! You are simply the best squid I could ever met..!” She whispered softly as she slowly drifted off to sleep.

Jesse smiles and pats her head gently, hoping that it’ll help her rest more comfortably. “I love you too, sweet pea. Whenever there’s darkness shrouding ‘round, you will always be the light in my world.” He whispered back.

“That’s the cool thing about couples! We help each other, care for each other, and most of all, love each other, yeah! Seriously, you make me feel so special and loved, even if I just help ya with makin’ tea. Every little cute thing you tell me, it makes me feel all fuzzy, even to this day!” Eika couldn’t help but to blush even more.

“I’m a lucky girl! I got ya by my side and couldn’t simply wish for anything else!”

“That’s delightful to hear, sweet pea! I’m just as lucky that I got paired up with a sweet, beautiful angel.” Jesse began to blush a little as well.

“And just so y’know, no matter what happens, I’ll be right beside ya! You can count on it! But in the meantime, let’s drink up. It should be a bit cooler by now.“

“Yup! We could bring our tea back to the room and maybe cuddle before we go back to sleep, yeah! After all, it’s midnight and we are maaaany hours before sunrise.” She proposed her midnight plan.

“Come on, honey! Let’s get goin’!”

“That’s a great idea, sweet pea!” Jesse remarked, taking his cup of tea after it cooled down. “Just spending time with ya really lifts my spirit!”

He shows off a bright smile towards her. “Shall we, my love?”

Eika nodded. She took her cup and lead the way back to the room, being careful with the hot tea.

Once back in the room, Eika went over to her side of the bed and sat down. “Hun, can I tell ya a lil’ secret? Well, it’s actually somethin’ I’ve been dreamin’ for several nights already…” She asked.

“Of course, Eika. Y’can tell me anything that’s on your mind.” Jesse replied as he headed to his side. From the look of his expression, he seemed interested on what she had to say.

He took a small sip of the tea. “By the way, this tea is great! Really divine!”

“Alrighty, so… You know how we’ve been havin’ nearly nightly sleepovers and movie nights at each other’s home? Like, one night we stay at mine, the next at yours and so on and so on.” Eika explained, a small blushing showing in her cheeks.

“So I was thinkin’ and… well I’ve been plannin’ as well… that we could like… from now on.. like.. well, have a permanent sleepover together and.. like.. share our daily lives even more…” She sounded slightly nervous!

Jesse seemed surprised to hear her big idea. “So, what you’re sayin’ is that… y’wanna stay like this for the rest of our lives?” He asked, blushing a bit as well.

He paused for a moment to think about it, then smiles. “…Definitely! If it means I get to be with a lovely, caring angel like yourself, then yes, I’d love to.”

Eika grinned, feeling a huge relief after hearing his answer. “I… Yes! I would love to wake up to ya pretty face every day! Make breakfast together, prepare tea together, and…. Well, live together pretty much…!! That’s my dream!!” She giggled, still shaking just a bit from the question.

“I’m… I’m so happy that ya agree..!!”

“I’m very happy, too! It would be a total blast spending most of my time with the one that I love.” Jesse chuckled, blushing a bit more that the bloom in his cheeks became more noticeable. It was at that point where, he too had an interesting thought.

“Heck, maybe one day… we could get married even. Of course, not today or tomorrow, but in the future perhaps! How do ya feel about the possibility of that?“

“I… I would very very much love to be your wife someday! Oh cod I still feel like I’m not adult enough to think of even getting married, but whenever it happens, of course I’d love to have you as my handsome hubby!” Eika’s face was as purple as a fresh grape.

“It’s already super cool for me to wake up next to ya, and now I’m gonna be able to do so every single day from now on! And in the future, we might even do so as married squids! Eeeee~!!” Eika’s little mind rushed with tons of ideas and scenarios.

“Heh, ‘handsome hubby’… guess that would make ya the wonderful wife, then!” He chucked a bit before taking another sip of the delightful tea.

“Again, thanks so much for makin’ me feel much better, sweet pea! I’m very grateful that you’re always caring ‘bout me.” He said, seemingly all relieved now that the negativity caused from his bad dream were swept away.

“Your.. your wife..!” Eika had to calm down, as she was getting dangerous levels of energy just thinking about it.

She then came back to her senses. “Oh, that’s why I’m here for! Caring about ya and seein’ ya pretty smile makes me super happy! I just couldn’t stand seeing you lose sleep over a nasty dream. Let’s finish this tea we made together and cuddle back to sleep, yeah?”

“Of course. Cheers to that!” Jesse responded, playfully. He was almost done with the tea until something popped up in his mind.

“Say Eika… has Eimie ever tried any of this tea before? I’m sure she likely has, but I’m wonderin’ ‘bout her thoughts of it.” He questioned her.

“Oooh, that’s a good question! She is more of a sweet and strong stuff, like iced coffee and bubbly beverages, so I don’t really know.” Eika answered. Now she had finished her cup.

“Maybe we could prepare a kit with all the ingredients and instructions to prepare tea, yeah! And probably we can get her to like tea and join us for future taste testing!”

“That sounds like a great idea! I bet she’ll like it when she tries it out.” Jesse said enthusiastically as he took his last sip of tea and sets it aside.

“That tea was some good stuff, sweet pea. In a way, I guess y’can say I’m refreshed!” He giggles, sounding almost proud.

“And the best thing, is that we made it together, yeah!” Eika grinned wide.

“How ‘bout we now continue our dreams, so ya can rest you pretty face? Did I told you my dream was about us together winning a turf war? You pushed towards the other team’s base in the last minute and gave us the victory!” She giggled and smiled even more. “Even in my dreams, you are as helpful and amazing as in real life. Hopefully you can help me in getting my nightly cuddle session~!

“Alrighty, so… You know how we’ve been havin’ nearly nightly sleepovers and movie nights at each other’s home? Like, one night we stay at mine, the next at yours and so on and so on.” Eika explained, a small blushing showing in her cheeks.

“So I was thinkin’ and… well I’ve been plannin’ as well… that we could like… from now on.. like.. well, have a permanent sleepover together and.. like.. share our daily lives even more…” She sounded slightly nervous!

“Let’s show them!” One of the Bettas jumped out of the ink puddles and pointed a blaster at them, ready to pull the trigger.

At the same time, Agent 7 pointed his N-zap’89 at them and splatted them with ease. The spawn points were already activated to bring them back.

“Who even jump out like that?” He kept his N-zaps up to keep his guard up.

“It’s not fair to fight 2 on 8, but we’ll have to make this work. If they want a turf war, they’ll get it. The rules of the game still apply. Understand, Jesse?” He watched out for the timer. “I say we have less than…. 3 minutes?”

“Gotcha. I’ll be on my guard for as long as I can. These peeps don’t even know that they’re up against a deadeye such as me.”

After saying that over to Agent 7, Jesse began to make quick eye motions, surveying around him in case any of the Bettas decides to jump out on him. Of course, he has his charger ready in case they come to take out the agent as well.

Agent 7 nods and splits up with Jesse but not far enough to expose him to an easy attack. Dead-eye or not, Agent 7 has always tried to be responsible for any civilian volunteering in his activities. 

The Bettas were already taking half of the entire turf in the past 15 seconds, maintaining their turf before proceeding to the other side.

Agent 7 clearly had to keep them busy and made good use in the autobomb. His sprinklers were planted to either sabotage or to cover as much turf as possible. He descends down a ramp and halted two Bettas’ advances, and he took cover around a corner.

Jesse tried keep his distance, but just enough to get a clear shot at a couple of Bettas near him or Agent 7. He also glanced at the agent on several occasions to make sure if he’s holding up or needs backup.

“Ya think this ruckus is enough to bring people’s attention?” He said to the agent as he was sniping away. “... I sure hope so.”
