why do you think Elsanna is a shipp so present in the frozen fandom? do you think the directors knew the consequences of what they were producing, I mean do you believe they put elsanna purposely in the subtext of the scenes?

Looks like someone has noticed my recent lurking... This will be my first Tumblr post since the purge. Glad it’s about Elsanna.

It’s hard to summarize why I think Elsanna became so popular, and I’m too tired to go in depth. But I think a big part of it is the writers, directors, and actors went so far with the TRUE LOVE theme that they accidentally went a little too far and made the characters’ sisterly affections waaaaaay too gay. I don’t think it was intentional to have incest subtext at all. 

But there’s got to be a least a couple people in charge of some of the merchandise that know exactly what they’re doing. And practically everyone involved with the franchise has to at least know about the ship at this point.

And even the Once Upon A Time versions of the characters were just as gay. Maybe even more gay. I think that series helped solidify the unintentional gay-incest subtext in the fandom.

Comic con update: The Elsa/Anna ship is gonna be sailing strong on OUAT

I’m not an elsanna shipper by any stretch of the imagination, but the tension/subtext between those two characters was so damn thick in the clip they showed from next season (looong stars, hand holding, lingering glances, softly spoken promises, tight framing on the two actresses standing way too close) I was expecting them to start kissing at any moment. Yet another instance of either the writers or the editors being completely blind to the vividly apparent subtext they’re creating.

Non-elsanna shippers are saying this…someone shoot me now because I can’t watch it…my heart won’t take it, I’ll go into cardiac arrest I swear to God…
