Nothing fancy but here are my altars for Dionysus (top) and Aphrodite (bottom)

Last but not least, my Ares travel altar.

Apollo's altar is as extra as he is.

My Cthonic deity altar. It is typically visited by Melinoe and Hermes

Though the Cthonic altar is an elevated altar, which is not suitable for those deities and I am getting an urge (from Apollo I believe) to replace it.

I think that I may relocate his altar to where the spooky altar is.

However, with the quality of that shelf, it'll have fewer tarot decks.

Hermes altar is just my gaming desk though he tends to appreciate my spooky altar to I believe.

🌞 Apollonian practice update:

Yesterday Apollo hit me with Weekend Devotional Assignments.

Today's (Saturday October 26th 2024) Assignments are of a practical (read: physical/Material) nature:

After going to my local φαρμακείο in nearby Litttle Greece to grab medication,

I am now to "clean my temple"

And on a major personal polytheist note, last night after a week of strengthening my bond with Apollon, he has decided that the Aphrodite and Dionysus altars pictured above are to be dismantled and made into his...

Why would he need THREE altars, you ask?

After some online research for ideas and also asking Meta AI (useful to give me a prompt for further research as opposed to solely relying on it) it has occurred to me that his altars will be the following:

🎨 Art and creativity

🔮 Tarot, Oracle & other divination

🌼 A general Apollo altar

While walking to Little Greece, Apollo had me listening to a podcast episode about the Pythia and after that he gave me some further direction with my personal pagan polytheistic practice, including what kind of blog my upcoming Apollo sideblog will be.

I will be using today's cleaning of my personal temple as an active meditation to channel more Apollo guidance.

Today he helped me source a few books for my practice:

An art book for the art altar, a diary to record kledons and the likes, and the most gorgeous handmade note book that has Apollo vibes to be due to the cover art and layout

Seriously, look at the notebook and diary!

🌞 This evening and/or tomorrow (Sunday) Apollonian assignments:

These will be spirituality centric, such as finishing some of my draft posts, focusing on designing my personal polytheism and the likes.

I have an edutainment (read: shitpost) post about the oracles of Delphi in drafts that I need to finish because while it certainly started as a shitpost it ended up becoming a "actually this has parallels with my experiences with Apollo" post, which then lead to Apollo dropping some insights on the whole Oracle thing that will end up being part of a bigger post (or series of posts depending on how in depth I get) about Worshipper, Devotee, Clergy & Godspousing... but that's a big project for another weekend/s.

Once I have the Apollo sideblog named and created, I will share it via another post.

In the meantime, please feel free to send asks and I will aim to respond within 24-32 hours.

We've been bonding for over a year now but recently we've been evolving my spirituality since he has decided that I'm now ready to focus on my spiritual practice after getting years worth of shadow work done with (my gods the lessons he pushed me through were brutal but necessary)

That said, we make time for fun.

Like today after creating THREE altars for him.

Apollo: "you should play stray gods later as relaxing devotional act"

Me: "Yeah okay sounds good"

Apollo: "i know this is a few hours early but go turn on your 'asussy', (what I named my Asus Rog Ally handheld PC I got for free thanks to Hermes & Apollo) there's a bunch of updates"

Me: "I only updated it a week ago?"

Apollo: "go on"

I turn on my device.

There was a bunch of damn updates.

Now I am cooking myself vegetables, lamb and my own version of a Greek salad (using goats cheese) as an Apollonian devotional act.
