Lore recap but imma make it as quick as I can:

ALL THE PARTS CONCERNING THE RED MEDIC BELONGS TO @herbert-ludwig72 , we have multiple aus together and my wife owns all credits for weak medic / red medic!

IN THE BEGINNING (BEFORE EMESIS BLUE):

RED team -> critical condition, loses matches way too often. Why? Their medic (Herbert Ludwig) has a chronical illness that makes him terribly weak (fragile bones, constant chronic pain, seizures, critical pain episodes).

That said, that meant Herbert was mostly despised by his own team, that’s until he started to develop an idea -> the respawn machine. After months of researches he talked it out with engineer and that is how the respawn machine was created.

The RED team now had both respawn machine and Übercharge, the BLU team has none of those devices.

BLU team-> now in critical condition. The begin to lose matches, and their two medics can’t keep up with healing their whole team.

BLU medic (Friedrich (Fritz) Weiss), using BLU spy’s help (Gabriel Grancher, who is also inside RED’s base (dating sniper)), starts to collect informations about both Übercharge and respawn machine.

In short, he managed to recreate the Übercharge perfectly, however, although he wasn’t aware of it at first… he failed to perfectly recreate the respawn machine, which will later lead to EMESIS BLUE without him knowing.

Okay now hear me out, in this AU, Friedrich and most of the BLU members (Scout, Demoman, Spy, Sniper,Soldier and Heavy) aren’t aware they are clones, as they have enough differences and also fake “memories”. Each time a BLU merc respawns, they re clone themselves, which leads sometimes to unnoticeable anomalies, not enough to alert them, but what they don’t know is that by trying to recreate the respawn machine, Fritz created this sort of “dimension” (“the other side”) -> every time they respawn it’s just another clone, but in the dimension the other clones stay stuck there, they sometimes appear BLU, and sometimes RED. During emesis blue, the BLU ones who manage to escape this sort of dimensions are the Undertaker, meanwhile the RED ones are those sort of “zombies/anomalies” we witness in the middle of the movie.

Additional info: my oc alchemist in emesis blue was only the one creating those pills, he believed that it was Fritz asking for those specific antipsychotics because it was well known that Fritz was schizophrenic, however, Fritz was never the one asking for them, the undertaker was (plague mask one, one of fritz’s clone), I wouldn’t be able to explain what kind of entity he is exactly, but if you are under the effect of antipsychotics, you cannot see him, as if he was the result of psychosis although he is material. So the undertaker would come up uncovered in the BLU laboratory as Fritz and ask alchemist to make the pills. After that he would cover them up to simulate them as Valium and put them in the medbay, with everything that was going on the actual BLU medic, Fritz, was often giving mercs what he thought to be Valium (just like he did with scout in the beginning of the movie, and like soldier when he mentioned “they gave me a bunch of those, said I was seing things”, but he never took any of it). This whole nonsense was undertaker’s way of not being seen but being able to see them.

Also alchemist isn’t connected to the respawn machine, I’ll leave you guys on this one.

She's Herbert's (Weak medic) mom. She died in 1926 from drug abuse.

After Herbert started to take Überstoff and that he had this hallucination of what he calls the "paradise", he can see Mutter (entity), she represented gigantic which makes Herbert think of her being a sort of goddess.
