greed definitely gets attached to people and grows fond of them so quickly + hoards them so easily for any/every possible reason? so many people. he’ll catch someone smiling or hear them make a ridiculous joke + laugh or they’ll challenge him in any way and he’ll just stand there thoughtfully for a second before utterly glowing + being like “ah yes……… this one is Mine now” w/ amusement in his eyes but also respect and admiration. he never (rarely) genuinely vocalizes it though b/c he has to maintain his Image like… just like people for the sake of them being more possessions.. more things to have… no care or concern involved whatsoever… no noticing + appreciating minute details when it comes to each person specifically… clearly… in the end he is bad at hiding it and everyone knows but they let him think that they think he’s Cool + Aloof

One of my favourite bits in fma is how during the final arc they bring up why attempting human stransmutation is forbidden, as the readers we've seen what happens when an attempt fails with Ed and Al, so of course the logical explanation is that "it's too dangerous to attempt", or even "it goes against the natural way the world works, it's monstruous in nature and impossible".

But then Arakawa in her infinite wisdom as a writer goes, lol no, the goverment has been making flesh monsters with human transmutations in secret for years, they forbid it so that nobody can't even come close to attempting to create a personal army that cannot feel pain

POTENTIAL FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: BROTHERHOOD DATING SIM??

Hey yall!! I’ve been heavily thinking about making a Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood dating sim taking place in the modern era for funsies!! Would anyone be interested in something like that or would anyone like to help?? I might be starting progress around October but we’ll see how college is treating me and how motivated I feel 😔

I would LOVEEE help with sprites for different characters, date ideas, locations, dialogue, maybe outfits??, and all that fun stuff.

I’m unsure how many characters are gonna be in it or how elaborate I’m gonna make this whole thing but so far here’s some characters that are likely to be put in:

Amestris et al are on Earth - not a parallel universe but Actual Earth - only FMA happens about 250K years in the future. Long after current humanity has nuked themselves back to the stone age and had to start all over again. Tectonics have shifted landmass to allow for the map we know of in FMA. Residual radiation subtly mutated a portion of the population so they could invent and use alchemy/alkestry. And they're just about trapped at the post-industrial age due to modern (2000s) humans having sucked up all the easily available oil reserves.

Like, that's actually a thing. There's a theory out there that if we nuke ourselves into oblivion, there's very little chance we can build tech back up to being oil dependent because we've long since drained easily accessible reserves. It'll take millions of years to rebuild those reserves, if ever. As such, steam-powered tech would dominate and then stagnate unless someone figures out how to skip oil entirely and figures out nuclear power or renewables without plastic could happen.
