Let’s talk, nerds.

How do you think Elias got his money? He’s like Tommy Wiseau. We know some of it is just simply interest because he’s old as dirt but… he’s probably at least a billionaire given the amounts of money we’ve seen him spend like it’s NBD. Do you think he used to assassinate people and keep their money? But the government never seems to have caught on… though perhaps the source of his wealth is the reason the Catholics watch him so closely?

I assume this will be explained eventually but I wanna hear some good theories!

Okay yes I know I get very defensive when people talk shit about my favorite character (Elias) or his relationship with Chise. It’s fine if you aren’t into it. But don’t use language that shames those of us who are into it into feeling like creeps for stanning a fictional relationship. I know it’s co-dependent. I struggle with that myself so it’s nice to see characters going through similar trials. I don’t care if you think I’m creepy for loving them together. This is fandom not real life, so yeah feel free to air your opinions but don’t think people won’t fight you on it- and quit it with the “this is unhealthy” guilt-trip attempts. Most of us know their relationship isn’t perfect and that’s why we like it.

What I love about their relationship is that despite not having the best starting point, they're growing. They're helping each other grow to be a better person, put effort to understand each other and make things work, and their relationship is crucial to their growth. They still have a long way to go, but they have grown a lot and their relationship has become so much more open and honest than it was in the beginning of the story. I know we can't all see things the same way, but it saddens me that people often overlooked the whole point of their relationship (or a character, story, etc) and the very thing that makes it beautiful.

Watched Ancient Magus Bride: Those Awaiting a Star and let me tell you I am disappointed. The prequel had such great potential, but fell flat on the only important thing in the story.

Elias had a cup of tea. And he lifted it up like to drink it then he started talking and put it down. Then he put it up again and down. Eventually they walked out of the kitchen and he hadn’t had even a little bit of drink.

This is a major oversight by the entire team. I wanted to see him drink the tea. Does he just pour it into his mouth like an Olympian drinking water at the end of their event? Does he eat the cup, porcelain and all?? What does he do? I hope my worries are addressed.

I'd like to think that Chise and Elias are more likely to adopt a child than have a biological one. I mean, Chise knows better than anyone what it's like to have no one, to be an unwanted child who's always been thrown away. She certainly will take in a child like she was and welcome them to their home and family.

It’s a bit of fluff I’ve been working on. It all starts with a goodnight kiss. Ruth pushes Chise to be honest with Elias about her feelings. Elias learns new things about himself. Please leave feedback!

It was fairly warm spring evening. The windows of the sitting room were wide open, allowing the mild breeze to blow through. Inside, the occupants read silently while listening to the insects chirp a twilight song in the flowers outside. The relaxed, occupied quiet of the house was cozy and familiar for everyone, comfort in every sense.

Chise was already in her pajamas and Elias had discarded his robe over the back of the couch where Chise was sitting. It was close enough that when she laid her head on it, she could smell Elias’s distinctive aroma, a combination of fresh-cut grass, the gale of wind that blew across the sea, and old leather-bound books. Ruth was rather thoughtfully helping Silver with the evening chores in the kitchen across the hallway, visible from the open door.

Elias had chosen an old tome in Italian that Chise couldn’t read, and Chise was studying a book on the making and function of poppets. She was expected to create one for tomorrow’s lesson. She thought she might make one for Simon; his coughing fits had been particularly bad over the winter and she was hoping to ease whatever malady with which he was afflicted. She wondered in concern what could be wrong with him if he had recurring coughing fits over a period of many years, though she felt it would be rude to pry, so she kept her questions to herself.
