Midoriya would fall for a person with a good heart, who had more of an upbeat personality though he can get along with just about all types (as long as they’re not violent/villainous in nature). He likes a person who can speak their mind and be open with him, not just telling him what he wants to hear but what he needs to hear. He’d also need a person who’s quite understanding as he throws himself into danger far too often for his own good, and he needs them to be patient as he explains his reasoning while also telling him to have some sense of self-preservation. 

💞 How do you win their heart?

Being a genuinely good person seems like a low bar but it’s something Midoriya highly values. Seeing that you’re someone who cares about others, who wants to take care of and protect them even if you’re not a hero like he is can really make his heart flutter. Showing that you’re a kind and loyal friend who’s willing to understand his thought process and listen to his rants about pro-heroes also give you an edge up on any competition. 

🌼 How do they view their significant other? Are they the light in their life? Best friend? Savior, etc.?

Midoriya thinks calling you the light of his life is perfect as it represents what a shining source of inspiration you’d been for him. Even in the toughest moments of his career, even when he felt beat down and defeated, he knew you’d always be there to support him. Having you by his side is something he won’t ever take for granted.

Your heart is Midoriya’s favorite part of you, and no, he doesn’t care if you find that answer laughable. In the end he fell for you because of the type of person you were, someone who cared deeply for the innocent people in the world and who seemed determined to protect those you loved without a second thought. He doesn’t mean to say that you aren’t so stunningly gorgeous that you steal his breath away every time he sees you but just knowing you’re beautiful inside and out makes the deal seem even sweeter.

Shinsou likes people who are more careful with their words and who are considerate of the feelings of others, but not to the point it’s easy to walk all over them. Kind yet tough is the type he values the most, knowing he’d find the appropriate amount of support and criticism in a relationship with that kind of person that could truly help him grow. He would need someone who was willing to take it slow with him, let him dip his feet in the water and get used to letting someone be incredibly close to him. 

💓 How do they act when they realize they’re in love/have a crush?

Shinsou doesn’t act much different as he doesn’t see how changing his behavior will help his case, instead continuing to treat you as he always had; somehow his classmates manage to find out anyway despite him doing his best to keep his cool, but he smoothly denies it without answering any of their questions. He enjoyed your friendship and being around you even before he’d had a crush on you meaning nothing had really changed aside from how deep his feelings went, so he tries to keep things ‘normal’ until he decides whether it’s worth the risk to make a move.

Shinsou likes to fondly refer to you as his angel but it doesn’t mean he sees you as this perfect, ethereal being who could do no wrong. He has a strong respect and fondness for you that doesn’t allow him to simply give you one title or the other, knowing you fall under a plethora of categories that make you the perfect partner for him. You’re someone he can turn to in his time of need and someone who’s willing to trust him, to love him, no matter what. He just feels particularly blessed when he admires you from afar and gets struck by how much he truly does care about you.

Shinsou would sheepishly admit he liked every single part of you, since all those pieces made one whole person that he was deeply in love with. He doesn’t really care how corny the thought is because it’s just how he felt, blushing if you told him the answer was non-committal. He would have a difficult time making the decision but he’d cop out by saying your entire face caught his attention as he found you to be very cute from the beginning, ignoring you if you tried to fish for more compliments.

Bakugou is attracted to people who are tough, both mentally and physically; if you’re falling all over him or you can’t defend yourself, it can be seen as a major turn-off. He prefers someone who’s more on the independent side but who’ll let him puff out his chest and protect them when the time is right, as even he needs to have his ego stroked by the right person (and in the right way). Otherwise, he doesn’t really put much thought into what he wants out of a romantic partner as he’s the type to just feel out a situation and see if it fits what he wants to deal with. In the end, he’s the harder person to deal with in the relationship so you might need a lot of patience to understand what he really means.

Todoroki is attracted to people who are naturally kind-hearted and a little softer in nature, showing great concern for their friends and family (and others, too, if they’re in heroes like he is). He doesn’t really have a type other than that as he’s not one to think too deeply about romance, just going with the flow and being attracted to those he thinks are good people. He tends to fall for those who are intelligent and patient, willing to put up with his busy hours and his unwittingly cold behavior/actions as he tries to get used to the feeling of having a crush. 

💞 How do you win their heart?

As written above, showing Todoroki that you’re a kind person who deeply cares for other people (and not just yourself) is a great first step to gaining his affection. You’re likely to have a better chance if you talk to him daily, even if it’s just basic, friendly conversation he’ll take notice of the fact you’re making an effort to talk to him. If he’s truly interested in you he’ll try to keep the conversation going, not sure of how to pry about your interests and other personal things to get to know you but doing his best to navigate the conversation without it turning awkward.

Todoroki isn’t the type to be struck by ‘love at first sight’ and being a good friend of his is almost required to win his heart. He’d only date and get that close to someone he trusts, someone whose been by his side through good and bad times, someone he knows he can lean on when reality gets too heavy for his shoulders to bare alone. He’s a bit worried when he falls for a friend as it could easily cause the relationship to crumble into pieces, leaving him with a hole in his heart, so he doesn’t act until he can’t hold his feelings in any longer.

Acts of service is the love language that appeals to Todoroki the most and the one he thinks he can do quite naturally as he’s always thinking about you. If he sees you’re running low on one of your favorite snacks he’ll be sure to stock up on the way home from his patrol, or if he knows there’s something that needs to be done (that you dread doing) he tries to find the time to do it himself. His quiet, observant nature helps him pick out the little things he can do to make your life easier even if you insist he doesn’t need to, just wanting to care for you in the one way he’s confident in.

Todoroki would probably consider you a best friend and a confidant, no longer hesitating to show you the weakest parts of him as he trusts you with his entire heart. He relies on you greatly to set him straight, to offer up differing opinions on situations that he might be blinded to emotionally, and he wants this openness to be two-sided. He wants you to feel like you can confide anything in him, that he can offer up a solution and if no solution is available, he can at least bring you comfort/support in your time of need. He wants someone who sees him for who he is and doesn’t place him upon some pedestal, something only a best friend is capable of doing.

Causing chaos together is the most romantic thing Dabi can think of. Since the two of you aren’t quite in the position to go on regular romantic dates you normally try to make something special out of a mission together, enjoying each other’s company while also wreaking havoc as a distraction for Shigaraki’s movements. There’s nothing like having each other’s backs in a tough fight to get closer to one another and once you’re finally back at base for the night, Dabi drags you off for some real alone time (since you hardly granted it considering all that was happening around you). 

💋 How do they kiss?

Kissing Dabi is an interesting experience, the feeling of his charred skin against yours not as repulsive as he tries to insist it is. Kissing him is intoxicating, something that leaves you completely light-headed and leaning in for more even as he teasingly pulls away. He has the tendency to get rough, nipping at your bottom lip and pinning you against whatever hard surface happens to be nearby, completely dominating you to show you who’s in charge (though there are moments where he likes to sit back and pull you onto his lap, but you can’t say you felt ‘in control’ in that position either). 

😎 How do they impress their s/o?

Dabi isn’t the type to go out of his way to flex or do anything to purposely impress you, hardly even noticing you around at first until you’re brought to his attention. He lets his mysteriousness speak for itself, refusing to give you even the tiniest details about his former personal life no matter how much you pester; he would’ve burnt you to a crisp if he really minded your company or questions that much so you take that as a good sign, trailing along after him with hopes of one day having the ‘Who are you really?’ question answered. 

😆 How do they make their s/o laugh?

Dabi has a pretty dry, sarcastic sense of humor that lingers on being very dark but you can’t say it doesn’t pull a giggle or two out of you. He actually seems quite pleased when you stop being so uptight about every ‘cremation’ joke he makes regarding himself, or when you agree through laughter about a rather harsh opinion on someone else within the Paranormal Liberation Front. He doesn’t always intend to be funny with his creative insults but you always seem eager to hear what kind of monkey’s asshole he thinks another person is.

Hawks would like an honest person who’d pique his interest, who’d manage to leave him guessing and wanting more. He has a tendency to like difficult, multi-faceted people as they feel the most ‘real’ to him and honesty means a great deal even if he has troubles with it himself. Being feisty with a sarcastic sense of humor is sure to have little cartoon hearts floating around his head as he needs someone who’s willing to challenge him, who’s loving but not to the point where they can’t take a joke, and who can take his relentless teasing without skipping a beat.

Having someone who isn’t constantly falling all over him compliment him or talk about the fact he’s a great hero makes his heart race even if he’s unwilling to believe it. Raw emotion also makes him flustered as he’s not used to being so open and vulnerable with other people, meaning when you’re that way to him he doesn’t always know how to respond other than blushing and laughing sheepishly as your words soak in. It’s pretty difficult to make him blush otherwise as he’s used to hearing (and reading) all sorts of things about him online so it takes a special person to draw a reaction like this out of him.

Be honest with him. Stand by his side when he needs you the most, even if he’s in the wrong, tell him that and try to understand why he acted the way he did. He craves the intimacy of having a person who can see past the self-doubt and hatred at who he really is, at what he’s really thinking, and if he feels he can trust you with his emotions it’s game over for his heart.

Hawks is very physically affectionate, more careful when the two of you are out in the public eye but still managing to gather the media’s interest as he always seems to have his hands on you (innocent places or not). He likes having his arm wrapped around your shoulders or wrapping his arms around your waist from behind, head resting on your shoulder as he waited (im)patiently for you to give him the attention he wanted. Cuddling up with you at the end of a long day or starting off his morning with you snuggled in his arms are also very ideal moments that he looks forward to.

Hawks has countless nicknames for you that seem to change daily, with him liking to use things relating to birds the most often. My feather and my dove are two loving ones that generally slip out of his mouth when he’s not thinking too deeply about it, with him pretending he absolutely meant to say that. He enjoys using nicknames often too because when he uses your real name, you know he means business and it’s the easiest way for him to get his point across.

Midnight loves to give compliments and she gives them freely, pinpointing the things you’re most sensitive about so she can try to reinforce your confidence. Sometimes you think she might just be making fun of you but she’s an incredibly loving person, caring deeply about your feelings and wanting you to know just how much she appreciates you in your relationship. She also loves to receive compliments, soaking them in and playfully demanding more to ‘satisfy her aching ego’ which only has you laughing; it’s not hard to come up with nice things to say about her considering what a wonderful person she is, and she tells you she feels the same way when it comes to you.

She’s just not the type to dole out compliments often nor does she really like receiving them if they’re not sincere or something she cares about. She knows she’s attractive but hearing you talk about how strong her thighs look or gush over how cool she looked fighting bad guys would win you more points than any other type of compliment.

Ryuko is often in the spotlight, especially due to certain events, so she much prefers dates that are in the private of your own homes. She thinks they can be just as romantic since you’ll plan the perfect meals for each other, with one of you taking on dinner while the other takes charge of dessert. There are even candles lit as the two of you cozy up and eat side-by-side, happy to finally have each others company though she could still be called away at a moments notice. After the romantic candlelit dinner the two of you would often curl up on the couch, sometimes not even bothering to turn on the TV as there was plenty of comfort in silence.
