ALL IN THE NAME OF CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT...
Send my muse prying asks about anything and everything… please?

He nodded, handing the device over to her. “Thank you.”
“--No need to thank me! S’my job!” Amelia laughed, taking the device from him. “I’ll figure it out.”
how about a starter call, while I stare at my drafts for all three blogs?

“I am sure he would. I am also sure, if Mister Scott was allowed to do that, we would all suffer under his reign of tyranny. When Mister Scott is too happy, mostly it is a bad thing for everyone else.” A bad thing in the best way, of course. It meant labor and keeping odd hours and working on impossible deadlines for Scotty, but not life and death. Which was nice. Being able to spend some of his duty shadowing Scotty again was nice, and working in Engineering kept him active and busy the way being on the bridge didn’t. Not to mention getting to work with more members of the crew was nice. “Indeed, Miss Jones. It is always nice to have company for projects like these.” He led the way out of the lab and toward the corridor access hatch they’d have to climb down to get to the source of the problem.
“Careful, he might take that as a suggestion,” she teased, ducking her head to hide a giggle at his imaginations. It was amusing, and she was once again struck with how nice it was to work with him; honestly, Lia was glad that Chekov was back shadowing in engineering. Clasping her PADD to her chest, she followed him out to the access hatch. “We’re both going down, right?” She rather enjoyed really getting into the ship, getting to see how she ticked and work on repairing her(and apparently, she’d adopted Scotty habit of referring to the ship as a woman). She didn’t want to be left up here, anyway.

{★} Lily nods “Very true…. normally if you’ve been there for a year you have to have had at least 3 check ups.” She says before eyeing her “Yes?” She says with a kind smile.
“Well, you know -- my job isn’t exactly dangerous, not really. I’m just working on the fighters and such, s’not so -- well, I’m not flying into explosions, or anything. I’m not flying into anything.” Amelia shrugged with a soft laugh. “Have you been here long?”

‘ —— i was informed that you had a status report for me.‘
“--Oh! Yes, ma’am! Just, I got the last of the fighters fixed up, the best I could, I just wanted to let you know that they’re up and running for the next strike?”

“No, no. I’m sure he’s too busy to deal with this anyway. Please can you help?”
“Of course! You don’t even have to ask, here, hand it over?”
{ Which side will you choose? }

Leo walked across the room to her, closing only part the distance between them. The physical distance. Beyond that, he could sense she was beginning to lean towards an alignment he could not follow her to. The concept filled Leo with a deep concern laced denial, but the reality struck him with anger (never at her) and a more real fear of loss.“Talk to me..” He knelt down, looking up into her eyes with a caring gaze; giving her the higher ground. The young Jedi took one of her hands, their fingers interlacing perfectly. “Look at me, Lia, please.”
It takes her a moment to look up at meet his eyes, truly afraid of what he’ll see when she does. She’s not wrong, either, because already, those baby blue eyes have begun to tinge with red. She’s so scared, though, and his touch is grounding, so she clings to his hand. “He -- I...” Lia can’t even manage to put together a sentence, before broken sobs break through. She was supposed to be protecting him, saving Jim, that was what he said -- but she’s doing things she wasn’t supposed to, things that Leo had taught her was wrong. “I don’t know what to do.” The urge to run was overwhelming.

“Da… it is indeed troubling, but minor issues on such a large ship are not unlikely. It is just unfortunate. We have to keep the Engineering busy somehow, or else Mister Scott will have you all refitting the ship every other week with whole new engines!” Chekov smiled at her, taking his eyes off the screen for a second to look at her. He stood up, a bounce in his step, “Are you ready to go to the source?”
She enjoyed working with Chekov. He was cheerful and upbeat, and in the face of something going wrong, he didn’t let her worry too much. She met his smile with one of her own, and hopped up in turn. “Oh,he'd love that, adding all these gadgets.” She snorted, shaking her head, and gestured for Chekov to lead the way. “Thanks for the help, Chekov -- s’nice to have someone to work with!” Not that Scotty or the rest of engineering was bad of course, but she did enjoy having another upbeat personality to work with.

“I was going to show Mr Scott, he taught me how to do it in the first place.”
“I could help , if you’d like--? Or I can call Scotty, if you’d prefer!”

{★} She smiled softly “Oh i now how that can be.” She says with a small chuckle before applying some cooling gel to her wound and wrapping her hand “How long have you been working here?” she says in a curious tone.
“Not too long -- I mean, this is my first time in here so I can’t have been here long, right?” She laughed sheepishly, flinching at the cold gel on her burn. It helped, though, she relaxed, smiling brightly. “Thanks so much for the help, by the way, uhm -- ?”
