jensationals:
That story wasn’t funny at all. Pen rolled back and forth in her grip, she made no remark as he explained his position. This was very much a bit of a mess, morally and legally. “Did you join Scott Summers of your own volition, of sound mind and body?” Maybe there was an angle of being under duress, making bad decisions as a result?
“Are you considered a sovereign citizen of Krakoa? Diplomatic Immunity is a possible angle, and there is a statue of limitation for your actions, so long as you weren’t involved in the ‘murder’.”
“You know, it’s not easy being a mutant, especially before Krakoa.” Ben began, trying to save his ass. “And as much as I didn’t love Scott, as much as no one loves Scott, he offered me a way out. I just got kicked out of school and my parents house. So...”
Ben sighed, deflated, slumping his shoulders. “So, yeah, I was of sound mind and body.”
“I’m a sovereign citizen of Krakoa, yeah. All mutants are... I think.” Ben shrugged. “I wasn’t involved in the murder. Also he’s... alive, again, if that means anything.” Then he pinched the bridge of his nose. “This stuff is too confusing. Look, Scott killed Charles, Scott’s on the run, I join Scott. Does that... make sense?”
