Hylian Champion... I think? (Ask and RP blog!!!) (This blog is kind of all over the place since I haven't finished Age of Calamity, but we ballin'. This also mixes BOTW canon with AOC. Please check the pinned for AU changes.)
My name is Link, I am Princess Zelda's personal guard. And best friend! I have been chosen by the Sword to be the Hero to fight the Calamity.
A small Guardian from the future has come to warn us about the severity of the Calamity, and thus, we are making preparations early. As of now, Princess Zelda, Lady Impa, and I are heading to each of the other regions to gather the other Champions.
Please feel free to speak with him! We're trying to get him to open up a bit more. Castle life has been hard on him. Y-Your highness...

ABOUT LINK
Link is a gay trans man in this AU. He has lived in the Castle since he was 12. He is a shy and quiet person, but not afraid to step in front of someone causing others trouble. He struggles to stand up for himself, however, and will generally allow others to get away with tormenting him — Zelda usually comes to his aid when she's able.
He is older than Zelda, turning 13 shortly after moving to the Castle.
Most of the soldiers and servants do not like Link and tend to treat him very poorly. This, along with the stress of having to fight the Calamity one day, have made Link a nervous person.
Despite being trans, Link is comfortable with being feminine, but refrains from doing so in public due to past judgement. He is not on any form of hormones despite them being available.
ABOUT THIS BLOG
Unlike in AOC, Link retrieves the Master Sword at age 12. He wondered to the Korok Forest on accident, following an argument with his mother. Instead of returning home, he heads to the Castle, Sword in hand.
With his father, he meets with King Rhoam and Princess Zelda. Due to his age, King Rhoam decides to keep the information that he is the Hero and the Sword has been pulled a secret.
Despite her mixed feelings, Zelda decides to befriend Link. As they've gotten older, Link's become quiet and a bit distant, but they're close.
Link is Zelda's biggest supporter and comforts her regarding her struggles to unlock her powers. His presence has been helpful, as Zelda will get feelings here and there.
Now, 4 years later, they are setting out to ensure they succeed in defeating the Calamity.
Those who know Link is trans: his family, King Rhoam, Princess Zelda, Camila (his caretaker)
-you heard something from a nearby cave, it's a strange clicking sound that sends your hair on end-
-there are no other animals in the forest, not even monsters-
-Something scared them off-
@child-of-fae-born-of-remnant
Link follows the strange sound, his ears twitching with each click. The lack of any other sound or creature has him on edge, his sword drawn to his side. He's not in the best condition to fight, but if something has scared off even the monsters, then it is clearly a threat.
The clicking leads him to a cave, where he carefully peers in before stepping in. He holds his sword with both hands, prepared to swing at whatever creature was within this cave.
-inside the cave is a tall creature, hidden by the shadows of the place. blood smears the walls from a moblin torn open on the ground, slowly disolving into purple smoke-
-The monster wears Hylian clothes, but it is not. tall and thin with fingers the length of its forearm and legs built for speed. Its teeth click together, making that sound again.-
-the air is cold. everything about this situation is terrifying-
What...is this thing? Link's never seen anything like it in his life. The dead moblin on the ground makes his stomach churn uncomfortably, he's never seen a monster just not...dissolve upon death. It's disturbing...
He carefully, slowly approaches the monster, the clicking sound making Link shutter. He...really doesn't like that sound. The cold air bites at his face and fingers, makes his wound ache painfully.
Once he's sure he is close enough, he raises his sword to strike the monster down. Can't risk it turning to citizens for its next meal.
-The monster turns around at the ringing of your blade, catching it in its hand-
-it has hollow eyes, you're not even sure if there's eyes in there at all. and large teeth dripping with blood, the teeth grind together, letting out a harsh hissing sound that hurts your ears-
-the monster skitters back to where the Moblin is, leaving lines behind from the blood on its fingers-
Link's breath hitches at the sight of the monster's face, his eyes widened in fear. That's a feeling he hasn't felt in a long time. It's also terrifying that this thing stopped his sword. He knows he's not in the best of conditions, but he could still take on a Yiga soldier like this.
What exactly is this thing?
He backs away at the hissing, dropping his sword to cover his ears, wincing. He watches the monster move back to the moblin's corpse, his eyes trained on the streaks of blood.
He keeps backing up until he ends up tripping on his own foot, falling to the ground. He gaps, clenching his side in pain.
Link carefully pulls his tunic up, checking his bandages. He had changed them in case his wound had opened back up, and sure enough, blood was beginning to seep through the wrapping. Shit-
He flinches at the sound of clicking — which he regrets because that hurt — making his head whip up to look at the monster. His breathing picks up as he tries to back up, his back hitting the wall behind him.
He's trapped and his sword is too far away to reach.
Link looks at the bandages then the monster, confused. He looks at the bandages again, carefully reaching out and grabbing them.
"Thank you..."
He carefully started removing his armor before pulling the tunic over his head, revealing two sets of bandages, one around his torso, the other around his chest.
He pulls a couple small cloths and a canteen of water out of his bag before carefully removing the bandages from around his torso. Blood had quickly seeped through the bandages, indicating that the wound was still pretty fresh compared to healing.
-the monster looks at the injuries. it wants to help, but touching people without warning gets you stabbed.-
-instead, it walks back to its bag, pulling out its medical supplies and presenting them to Tame-
-theres bandages soaking in what smells like healing potions, a few levels of pain killers, materials for sewing a wound shut, a small burn kit, and smelling salts to wake people up-
-its more stuff than some medics in the guard carry-
Link glances at the monster when he notices movement, tilting his hand as it picks up the needle.
"A-Are you...o-offering to sew i-it for me?"
He looks down at the wound, a frown on his face. It's a monster, how does it know how to sew? He's still surprised the thing understands him. How is it going to sew when it looks blind?
But if he can't get a hearty elixir, does he have many choices?
He sighs.
"Okay, j-just...m-make it qu-quick."
He carefully moves his hand out of the way, shifting to allow the monster better access.
He bites the inside of his cheek when the pain killers are applied. It...wasn't ideal, but it did the job, of course.
He watches in silence as the monster stitches him up. It seems like the creature is truly blind, however, despite that fact manages to stitch him up just as well — if not better than — any doctor...
-your closer to the entrance now, and you can see why it's so good at stitches. It's covered in scars. Maybe from other monsters...or maybe from people reacting the same way you did.-
-chains dangle from its wrists, the actual clasps merged into its skin. It really is frightening.-
Link carefully starts wrapping the wound, not wanting the stitches to get caught on anything. His eyes catch the various scars coating the monster's skin. How curious.
"You... Y-You don't s-seem interested in h-hurting me... Why?"
-the monster begins packing the rest of its medical supplies, but stops to gesture at where the Moblin was (it's now dissolved into smoke) and show a thumbs up, before pointing at Tame and giving a thumbs down-
Oh...he supposes that makes sense. He's never met a monster that ate other monsters, but he won't complain.
He carefully pulls his tunic back on, wincing a little when he accidentally stretches too much. Sure, he was given pain killers, but that doesn't get rid of discomfort.
"G-Guess that exp-plains why there's n-no m-monsters around."
"I guess th-that makes sense. We d-don't have m-monsters like you. Y-You look like s-something mothers t-tell their k-kids about to g-get them to behave."
Link stares at the monster-now-rabbit hop away. It...what?
He scrambles to his feet — a bit slower than usual to account for his stitches — following after the rabbit. His sword is left behind in the cave, forgotten.

He carefully pulls his tunic back on, wincing a little when he accidentally stretches too much. Sure, he was given pain killers, but that doesn't get rid of discomfort.

@child-of-fae-born-of-remnant
Why?"

-you heard something from a nearby cave, it's a strange clicking sound that sends your hair on end-
-there are no other animals in the forest, not even monsters-
-Something scared them off-
@child-of-fae-born-of-remnant
