He did have to give the other that point, there was a limit to how far the extension arms could go before they were out of more coil or reach, and even worse, someone could try to cut them off if they were really good with sharp things. The material would have to be pretty durable to slice through it so there was that.
And he had to agree with Storkules on the notion that he should sell the idea that Gizmoduck was something criminals and felon should fear, well, not fear, but be cautious of. He did want to make sure justice was done and people were not hurt, but if there was a chance the people he put in jail could eventually be let out and set on the path to a better life, then he would take that over having his image being terrifying or scary to crooks.
“\I agree with you on some points, sir, but I hardly believe that Gizmoduck should try to make himself appear as a monster or terrify the enemies that he faces. He’s not here to do that, just to help and ensure that all is right and good. Making the bad guys…. wet themselves isn’t exactly his way./”, Fenton vocalized as he brought up one index finger to give out his opinion. The other would probably disagree with his sentiments on that, but hopefully whenever Gizmoduck was there to tell him in person, it would have more leverage than just plain old Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera.
Though again the demi god did have some great points to bring up with the topic concerning watching over sections of the town. It was kind of difficult to argue against that, so he would just go along with what the stork had said. Besides, apparently he seemed to put a lot of faith into the both of them and that was nice.
“\Y-yes, I got all of that. I’ll make sure to tell him so you won’t have to, that is if you don’t mind of course./”, he offered with a bit of an awkward hand gesture, putting out his left hand first for a handshake since that was his dominant hand. “\What is your name so that way he knows who wanted to talk to him?/”
[ “I’m sorry to say this, but I think you misunderstand me.” ] Storkules began with a rare air of sterness.
[ “It’s not about making villians wet themselves. Gizmoduck making himself a formidable threat for those doing or even considering villiany won’t do so, but it will certainly help with less crimes. I don’t wish for him to turn into a monster or a demon I just...” ] A mild frown of contemplation came as he thought about his next words.
[ “Maybe less hiccups on the field? I know no hero is infalliable, but people need a reason not to do evil or villiany. When Gizmoduck gets stuck in an alleyway or a villian outsmarts him—each time it happens it just gives that villian and every villian behind them or CONSIDERING being a villian the confidence to do horrible things.” ]
He knows it may sound hard on Gizmoduck so he takes a seat as if to gather more of his thoughts.
[ “I’m sorry if hath sounds critical—it’s just...this is an exact problem I had when I first became a savior for heliopolis and soon a habringer of good for all.” ] Fenton was in for a story from the god now as he lamented over his beginnings.
[ “When I was a young god I was strong, but I kept making mistakes that had me fall flat on my face or tricked by cunning foes; which made nefarious foes in the underworld begin to believe they could simply take over with the right amount of wit, and it gave too many foes the idea they could usurp me as well.” ]
[ “But when my lifeless body came back from the Underworld, when I overcame death and arisen stronger than when I had passed—I realized not much foe or evil spirit would dare cross path with me outside of mythical beasts, but they’re truly not evil moreso just animals.” ]
He realized the tangent he was going on and began to get up. It may be best to let the scientist continue his work—He couldn’t simply dawdle a busy worker!
[ “I just don’t want people to begin to underestimate Gizmoduck’s strength or his pursuit of peace—simply because enemies can get the okey doke on him. He’s my friend, and I just want the best for him.” ] He goes to the door ready to leave him back to his devices, but there’s one more thing he should say.
[ “I know this may not be much your interest as a scientist, but it just felt nice to talk about it with you.” ] Storkules smiled. I truly wish for Gizmoduck to not feel insecure in his abilities, so I would like if you don’t tell him of this part of what I professed to you.”
