🌺🌸🌺Todoroki with an s/o who plain out doesn't give a shit. Like she'll drag people out on their shit and doesn't take shit from anyone and she can back up her own shit if they wanna fight. Even to his father bc she has a powerful quirk and can maybe match up against him???
I wrote this as close to canon as I could. As cocky as any teenager can be, I don’t think anyone would be dumb (or angry) enough to really take on Endeavor. I mean, even if there is a huge power gap between him and All Might, he’s still the No. 2 hero, and they would know it. This is as close as I could get. Part two (which conveniently coincides with another ask, should be out soon)
“You’re here again?” The rough masculine voice boomed across the kitchen where you were crouched in front of the refrigerator, rummaging for a snack while Shouto ran down the street for more paper for homework. You studiously ignored the barb, instead looking between the peach and the plum, weighing your options. Endeavor didn’t find your feigned obliviousness amusing and walked up, shutting the refrigerator door on your face. You internally sighed; you could tell he was spoiling for a fight, and you weren’t sure if you had the self control to keep your head without Shouto.
“I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend,” you offer in way of an explanation, waiting for Endeavor to move his hand so you could get back to your very important fruit decision. Endeavor crossed his arms over his broad chest. “The fact that you still believe he cares about you shows just how much you need to learn. I know you and Shouto are fucking. I have no problem with that; a teenage boy needs to get his urges out sometimes. But you’re nothing more than a glorified whore. Remember your place.”
You weren’t hungry anymore. In fact, where that hunger had originally lived was replaced with a cold fury. You turned on your heel and started to walk away. Damn it, but you promised Shouto that nothing bad would happen, and you would do your best to keep that promise.
Endeavor snorted and your retreat, mistaking it for weakness. “This is why you’ll never be good enough for Shouto. You’re too weak.”
Damn if you didn’t try, you rationalized to yourself as you turned slowly on your heel. Or at least, that’s how you would explain it to Shouto when he got back. But for now, all rationality had fled your mind. It didn’t matter to you that Endeavor dwarfed you by more than a foot, or that he was almost double your weight, or that he could incinerate you on the spot. All you could feel was the cold fury that was the antithesis to his flames.
“You know nothing, you worthless excuse for a hero.” You spat, your eyes glowing a light lavender as you gathered your Quirk. You didn’t even want to touch his mind, so your telekinesis was all you wanted to use right now.
Endeavor’s face became a mask of cruel delight. “Oh, Shouto’s little whore thinks she can talk back to me?” He loomed above you, arm pulled back and ready to strike an open-palmed blow. You reached out with your quirk and grasped a few of the wickedly sharp kitchen knives hanging behind the stove. They hovered, ready to strike, poised just as Endeavor was.
The atmosphere had devolved into aggressive loathing in the blink of an eye, both of you waiting for the other to flinch, for someone to make the first move that could only end in bloodshed. It was because of this that you didn’t hear Shouto pad in on bare feet, didn’t notice him until his chest brushed against your back, his arm snaking around to hold you low, by your hip. You startled; it was like Shouto’s presence flipped a switch in the room. There was no more bloodlust, only shame on your part. You could see Endeavor’s disgust as well.
Sorry, you whispered in his mind, but you felt him brush off the thought. You two would talk about this later.
“Father,” Shouto ground out, his voice like steel, tempered by the flames and ice inside of him. “What’s happening?” You kept yourself from relaxing back into your boyfriend, comforted by his presence, but barely. This was not the time to act lovey-dovey.
“Your whore stepped out of line.” Endeavor answered, both brazen in his declaration and with a tone that spoke of disgust and aloofness. You could hear Shouto’s teeth grind, watch his jaw clench as he fought the urge to crack his father squarely in the jaw. You placed a hand over the one on your hip, steadying him.
Not worth it… you sent him, trying to get him to back down. This wasn’t a fight that should even be fought. Let’s just go…
You could feel Shouto pulling you, guiding your body behind him as he quickly herded you through the kitchen, towards the doorway and your escape. As you neared freedom, Shouto turned to fix his icy gaze on his father’s contemptuous one.
“You will never speak of Y/n like that again, father.” He commanded, still urging you out the door. “You will never say that again, or so help me, I’ll disown you publically. I’ll put aside your lineage, this family, and your arrogance to protect her. Don’t test me.” With that, the two of you were moving swiftly out the door and through the halls, pausing only at Shouto’s room to collect your books before you were out the door. While time had seemed to slow for you, the entire confrontation between Shouto and his father had taken only a few seconds. Before you had even slipped your shoes on, the two of you could hear Endeavor’s yelling.
“Let’s hurry.” Shouto urged you, tugging on your hand as the two of you slipped on your shoes and into the night, away from the house.
