Pets. Derp.

Simply a photoblog of our pets and their shenanigans. Currently our pets consist of Pandora the kitty, Ninja the mini-rex, Little Derp the lionhead, and PIkachu the lionhead/lop mix. We also have some birds and turtles that may make an appearance :3 We recently have had two new suprises join us in the form of baby bunnies! We will be posting pictures of these rabbit's development from their birth to their adoption. They are a mix of the Lionhead and Mini-Rex breed. Some people on the internet have taken to calling them Velvet Lions! Let's hope these 2 cute bunnies make it!

Sleepy Bun wants to webcam :3 He's 3 weeks old today!

Adventure bun, Sleepy bun, Ninja, and Lil Derp updates!

Tonight marks their 21 day birthday, so we gave them their own eating area, separate from Lil Derp and Ninja.

Sleepy Bun again. He's cool with me now, probably got distracted by those oreos lol.

Sleepy bun! He's giving me the death glare because I woke him up from his nap. He still fits in the palm of my hand, but just barely!

The little bunnys have started to munch on hay and some solids!

Oh, and we have took to naming the bunnies Adventure bun and Sleepy bun for the time being!

Adventure bun, like his(or her, we won't be able to tell with these bunnies for a while) name suggests, is very adventurous and likes to spend his time exploring, digging, and climbing everything!

Sleepy bun on the other hand would rather sleep and plop around. However, sleepy can be pretty quick and does enjoy zipping around, especially when we aren't looking. 

We can tell them apart from their personalities, but they also have some physical differences. Sleepy bun has a slightly bigger head, while Adventure bun has 3 distinct white hairs on each of his ears.

Whoops, didn't mean to write so much, or anything at all, but that's an introduction to our baby bunnies!

p.s. Adventure bun is the one nibbling on that piece of hay :3

The baby bunnies no longer look like baby hippos! Their hair is starting to come in and we can see a little mane forming at the base of their necks. These are going to be some cute velvet lions :)

Baby Bunny Update 3:

We lost our smallest baby bunny yesterday. Unfortunately it couldn't compete with its siblings and despite our best efforts at hand feeding, he wasn't able to pull through ;(

On the bright side of things, the two baby bunnies left are doing really well. The lil lil derps are the softest things ever, and are really growing fast. Today marks their 8th day being alive! Here is a picture of the fat little buns :3

Update 2: She just gave birth to the rest. 3 bunnies, hopefully all healthy and normal.

Update: She gave birth to one so far, but did it outside the nest :( We believe she wasnt ready yet for the first one. We're pretty sure she has at least 1 or 2 more left, as she has resumed nest building and hair pulling. We have the little kit outside right now, for fear of Little Derp trampling the kit.

Just found out Little Derp is pregnant by her nestbuilding this morning. Definitely a surprise...we're hoping for the best and keeping an eye on her.
