Obligatory introduction post

Even with ceasefire now officially declared, many families in Gaza are struggling to survive in very harsh conditions they were forced into by constant bombings and displacement. There are ways for all of us to assist them, be it by donating to them directly, supporting initiatives that aim to provide food, water, shelter and medical care or spreading information about the ongoing events. Any amount of help is greatly appreciated.

Gaza soup kitchen and their gofundme - an initiative that provides Palestinians with hot food and other necessities.

The Sameer Project - an initiative that provides aid and basic necessities to anyone who might need it.

Mutual Aid Fund - an initiative that provides basic necessities to families in need. They are currently fundraising for clothing, shoes, potable water, food supplies, hygiene supplies, children's needs (milk, diapers, etc.).

Crips for eSims for Gaza - an initiative organised by disabled people from all around the world to help provide eSims to people of Gaza and allow them to stay connected and share their stories with the world.

Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.

I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.

Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.

In my sky world, the symbol of light represents the skykids and I called them Lumi. Then, there’s darkkids or umbrum I called them. I drew a few versions of the symbol of darkness just for them and came up with this that I like.

Since I haven’t thought much about honking, I don’t have the purpose of this symbol yet.

This is the first version I drew. I used the symbol of the constellation as a reference.

Then, the second and third look more like an eye with a tear. It was based on my very old lore for my darkkids, which is more messed up.

I decided to make simpler. Now it looks like darkkids lost their halves and it fit the current lore.
