India, Denmark, and Liechtenstein have all been dropped, but as I’ve taken forever to actually write this post they’ve already deleted. Checking through the list, it looks like Iceland is gone as well. I might’ve been told about that or I might not’ve, my memory is pretty poor and I apologize.

This is just a brief post to try and shake the dust off of this account, and as a warning that I’ll be doing activity checks soon. A whole lot of people haven’t posted in a very long time, so I’ll be be sending out a bunch of messages sometime this week, hopefully. I’m not sure if it’s really fair if I give out strikes when I haven’t been very active here, either, so it’ll be more just to check and see if people are still interested.
One thing I should mention here; you don’t have to tag for animals any more! The player who requested that is gone. Thank you so much to all you guys, you’ve been doing great at tagging and I really appreciate it. :)))

And as tonight draws to a close, so does our event! On the morning/day of January 12th, when the characters who participated in the event wake up, they'll be their regular adult selves again. They'll remember the week just fine, no week-long blank spot or anything.
Again, ~officially~, the characters will be waking up properly in their respective time zones, but as most of us don't live where our characters do/currently are, you can have them 'wake up' whenever you get around to posting. Or you can have them post later on in their day, however you'd like. Once more the most important thing is that everyone is back to normal at the same time, meaning that no one is still a kid while the others have become adults again.
I had a lot of fun with this event and hope you guys did too! Hopefully we'll be having our next event come sooner after this one than this one did the 2P event. If you think of anything you might like to do in the future, please, let me know! And as always, feel free to send me an ask if you have any comments, questions, or concerns.
If the participants could contact me regarding the information I requested in my last post I would appreciate it. If you haven't signed up yet, today is your last day! I would really prefer no one just hop into the event without telling me. It's easier for everyone to keep track of who's changed and who's the same if we get it down now.
The event starts January 5th. Start and end times for these can always be tricky due to international time zones. 'Officially', your characters will go to sleep on the 4th (or early early the 5th if they're late owls), and wake up as kids whenever they do on the 5th. But you're more than welcome to have them 'wake up' whenever you start (before noon in your time zone) regardless of what time that'd be where your character is located. What's most important is that everyone is changed before the first character wakes up, meaning that someone currently unchanged doesn't go to bed waking up hearing about how someone else has been kid-ified then waking up changed themselves. Same goes for the event end. 'Officially', your character will be an adult again when they wake up on the 12th in their time zone but you can fudge that to make it fit your own schedule.

WHOOPS sorry I'm answering this so late! But that's a very good question!
I'm thinking we'll treat this the same way we do a lot of things around here, which is quietly ignoring it. Like, why are they changing in the first place? What's doing this? Why does it always last exactly a week? How do these guys keep finding pictures of themselves random humans have posted on this website to reblog? Why are some of them in comic format? That sort of thing. If we couldn't reblog/source fanart of our characters we'd be out of a LOT of good blogging material, and if we don't make it so that the de-aged nations ~somehow~ know how to operate phones/computers just enough to be able to blog we wouldn't be able to do ANYTHING with them, really. If that makes sense? o: (And I would say yes on the English, much easier that way.)
Basically, yeah, there's a lot of plot holes here, but I'm content putting a blanket over them and pretending they're filled for the sake of having fun if you guys are. If any of you aren't and would prefer to have a more solid explanation of some sort, I'm sure we can come up with something!

If you could check out the links and let me know if you'll be interested in participating, or if one time would work better for you than another, please comment or shoot me an ask if you haven't already. I can't do this without you guys! :>
Only a handful of people who've shown interest in an event when I spoke to them via ask have replied to these posts. Which is understandable, but I need more input! What I'm considering doing is making a post linking to the other recent ones about the event and mentioning every member under the cut so that a notification is sent their way. Good idea or bad idea? It'd be faster than going to everyone individually at any rate! Eventually I'm going to get the hang of this moderating thing
Alternatively, would waiting until the beginning of January be better for you guys instead of trying to cram it into December? The wait would be longer, obviously, but it might allow for more people to participate. The first week of December is the week before finals week and will be busier for me (I'm an art student so I only have one actual test-final, everything else involves actual art projects), but I could manage it if I need to.
A couple of people have said that their schedules are mostly open in regards to the event, and so far only two have given times that aren't good for them. Unfortunately, those conflict. One is before December 19, one is after December 16. followerofthelotus , would December 1-8 work for you or would that still be too close to your finals?
Also, I'll need to know which characters are actually going to be participating. If you plan on including your character/s, tell me so here. I'll be making a second post like this later on to double-check.
So we're going to go ahead and go with the Kidtalia event! The next question is this; what seven-day period would be best for you guys for this event to take place? Right now I'm thinking somewhere in the first two weeks of December. Would anywhere in there work?
A bunch of people have expressed interest in having an event, so, right! We'll be going ahead with that!
Since a bunch of you haven't been here for an event yet, I'll give some basic info on how they work here first before getting to our next one.
If you're familiar with typical fandom ask blogs you probably know what magic anons are. All of our previous events so far have had that sort of idea to it, only on a larger scale. Basically, I decide on a week that works out as best as I can get it to re: everyone's availability, and at the start of it something ~happens~, and that something lasts until it's mystically fixed a week later. The hows and whys of all of it IC are left a mystery, and we all sort of suspend our disbelief even further for a little while so we can have our fun.
Since starting the group we've had a body-swapping event, a Nyotalia event, and a 2P event. They've fallen into two categories so far; ones in which the participants are unchanged mentally, and ones in which the participants have had their personalities altered in some way.
In both the body-swapping and nyotalia events the participants were fully aware of what was going on. As I play Russia and had him in all three events so far, I'll use him as an example. When he swapped bodies with Romano, he was still 100% Russia as he is now, with the only difference being his borrowed body. He was weirded out but amused and had fun being shorter and smaller for the week.
However, in the 2P event, each of the participants woke up as drastically different people. From their perspective, they woke up in a world like theirs but off in ways both big and small, with most of the other Nations behaving strangely. From the perspective of those not participating, a small handful of the others started acting like very different people who were confused with the world around them. Basically, the muns who participated played as the 2P version of their character waking up in the 1P world. With Russia, or 2P Russia as it were, he was extremely annoyed with all the changes and didn't like anything he learned about his 1P doppleganger from listening to other 1Ps or looking around his house. He referred to 1P Russia's wardrobe as a 'pastel sunshine nightmare'. When the week was up the participants returned to normal - the regular 1P characters - with a headache and memories of what all had happened as if they were stuck watching in the back seat the entire time. Events don't necessarily have to have this kind of magical element to them. For instance, a world meeting event could take place, which is less something wacky and explainable happening and more throwing everyone into the same city together for a week to see what shenanigans they get up to. That sort of thing!
So now that we know the basics, let's get back to the present!
A while ago I asked the group what kind of event they'd be interested in next, looking at a couple of suggestions we'd had in the past, and it was decided that we'd have a Kidtalia event. The gist of it is that the participating characters would wake up at the start of the event week as kids. Some extra info;
This would be like the 2P event in that the character is altered beyond just their looks. Instead of being completely different people, however, they will still be themselves, but who they were as kids. Basically, from the character's perspective, they've woken up several decades or centuries in the future.
(We will be quietly shuffling around the question of how they would know how to operate phones or computers or speak modern English. We will be quietly shuffling around a lot of questions like that because they get in the way of the fun.)
You get to choose what time period, exactly, you're picking them up from. It's your character and your headcanons; do you have a general idea on how they would've aged from the time of their birth or formation to the present? What time in that country's history would you say you'd consider them to be a kid? How big of a kid? Again, as I play Russia, I'll use him as an example. I'll probably be picking him up from somewhere in the 15th century, before the Golden Horde's dominance over Russia was ended. I headcanon him as being about 8-10 physically at the time. Aging headcanons differ from person to person in this fandom, so I'll leave it up to you.
This is another event that I think would work best with a good mix of those participating and those who won't, but again, that's up to you! If it turns out that somehow every singler player wants to de-age their character for the week, then so be it.
So now I ask for input from you guys! Thoughts? Questions? Suggestions? Like the idea? Don't like the idea? Think I should scrap it and try something else? Think it's alright but have another idea you think we should try later? Etc? I won't know unless you tell me! Let's rock this.
