not using AI genuinely feels like the rest of the world is experiencing some kind of mass amnesia. if someone says they never use it, the immediate response is that can't be true because "everyone" uses it to write their emails or answer their questions. saw a comment suggesting that not using chatgpt to write an essay is "like the 90s". girl I graduated in 2021 and we weren't doing that! how is it that everyone has suddenly forgotten that they were entirely capable of doing these things all by themselves for their entire lives up until the past few years!! am I going crazy!!!

I know some fic writers get stressed about writing tropes they think are too popular or overdone, and I need you all to know that I just spent 4 hours reading every iteration of the same exact fic plot I could find, and they all brought me an indescribable amount of joy. genuinely how life feels post ep 4

I rewatched episode four (again) and this time the scene with shane and his parents hit me in the chest so much harder. everyone’s focusing on the tuna melt and the ginger ale and the club—which is really valid btw i could talk about those scenes forever—but the scene with shane’s parents is so meaningful!!

first of all, it starts with the waiter asking if they’re waiting for someone else at the table. the table is set for four people. everyone’s been pressuring shane about getting a girlfriend; all that expectation is embodied into a fourth seat. but no, of course there’s no one. no girlfriend. no partner. the only person that could possibly be there, can’t be, and that’s all the more reason for shane to be upset.

shane’s lashing all that frustration out at his parents. he doesn’t want more people pressuring him to meet another girl. he doesn’t wanna meet a fucking princess.

and then!!! god, and then, the moment he says he’ll lie about going to the event and his mom tells him “that’s not who you are,” shane immediately shocks himself back into his role as the perfect man, the perfect player, the perfect son. he shuts down all his emotions. he backtracks and apologizes for his behavior. he focuses on how his parents feel, and suddenly the trip he had no interest in whatsoever sounded great, actually. they should definitely think about it some more.

because no, his mom is right, that’s not who he is. that’s not the perfect role model he tries to be. the perfect role model shouldn’t be upset about how things went with the guy he hooks up with. he shouldn’t be frustrated about meeting a princess. he shouldn’t talk back to his parents. so shane shuts himself down and smiles through the pain.

this is so sickening.

You don't even want to know how often I've watched the club scene today. Sure, this whole episode was incredible, the tuna melt, the sex scene on the sofa, the tenderness and heartache of it all...

But for some reason that moment in the club when the music ramped up and Ilya turned around to look at Shane broke my brain.

Katsuki’s gaze goes straight to emerald green, taking in everything that could be wrong. He sweeps his eyes through Izuku’s frame, trying to see if he’s been somehow hurt, when he notices what he’s wearing for the first time. He’s dressed in some sort of school jersey, but Katsuki’s a hundred percent sure he had been wearing an ugly green sweater not too long ag– wait a minute. Katsuki squints at the symbol in his chest and widens his eyes in recognition. That’s– That’s the UA symbol. Izuku showed it to him a thousand times before. Why the fuck is he wearing that? He looks up to Izuku’s face, ready to question him, when he notices how white his face is, how wide his eyes are. Katsuki turns around, searching for the reason why Izuku looks so spooked, when he sees it—when he sees him—
