I went back to the Philippines.

I spent a lot of time meeting with family and friends-- also diligently started taking a lot of pictures of the stuff. It's been a few years since I've seen the place and it's crazy much things change in a span of 4 years.

Usually, Southeast Asian Kris are about the size of daggers(well... they are technically daggers), but sometimes they are the size of swords, I had the opportunity to hold one again.

(These aren't birds, these are bats btw.)

There's a really pretty blue masjid that is being built nearby where my grandparents live. They told me this might become the biggest mosque in the Philippines-- if not, in Southeast Asia. I'm not too sure which it is but either way it's nice to see it before it's done being built.

A platter of food with the center piece being the blackened soup called, "Tiyula Itum." I wanted to try it since my mother would tell me this is her childhood food and I got the chance to eat it with my cousins at a Halal restaurant.

After the trip, I went back to Canada and brought a wonderful kris as a souvenir. I have this on my bed side table hanging now.

I might consider decorating my room a bit more with these. I'm thinking about redecorating my room anyway.

A few more fixes in this blog...

I think I may as well do more clean ups in here and make it my final resting place... well. That sounds like I'm going to die soon or something. 💀

A few things like making my portfolio side in here would be nice as well as a commission pricing side of things. I've been getting quite overwhelmed with the amount of commissions I get that it's not catching up with the amount I should be earning so I decided I may as well make a calculator here soon as well for those who may be interested in doing so soon.

Other than that, I may as well put my programming skills to use to make this place prettier.

I’ve just in the mood lately to do a lot of Filipino ikemens lately.

Originally I had this thought to myself of combining every rainbow/multicolored related Philippine deities/spirits into one dude and it turned out quite nicely to me. Turns out in old traditions the rainbow was commonly(not all the time but ye) perceived as a masculine symbol. So here’s Kinang, the Sunbird prince-- part time psychopomp and war god. xd
