TROYE SIVAN'S ALBUM:Â MY ULTIMATE THEORY *updated*
I have seen a lot of theories and confusion circulating about Troyeâs new album recently. I wanted to clear up some confusion for those who have jumbled thoughts or who have been offline. As a disclaimer, I am NOT claiming to know in certainty the motive behind Troyeâs suspicious social media stunts, but after close observation, these are the ideas I have concluded that make sense to me. This is my most recent theory as to what Troye intends to do. Iâd like to give credit to @/tronnorfravan, @/ilysbtronnor, @/tronnorilysb, and @/conconsivan for influencing my ideas. Without further ado, here is my ultimate Troye Sivan Album Theory.
  What is the album called?          Â
First off, I want to iterate the name of Troyeâs album is unknown. There was rumor afloat about âWhiteâ being the official album title, but that was a fraud post. There is no proof of a title for this album; however, there is a reasonable theory. In Troyeâs photoshop challenge video, we see his documents. We can clearly see a folder titled âWild.â Though this could just be a collection of song demos or trials, it was suspicious because it was a folder, while the other documents were single audios or videos, which we believe to be some of the songs. Many people presume the songs off the album are under this folder, labeled as the title of his album.
What are the song titles off his album?
-Troye confirmed one song title is âTalk me Down.â The crowd sang along to this song at Amplify.
-On Twitter, Troye confirmed a song title is âFools.â
-Amplify confirmed Happy Little Pill will be included on the album with the crowd singing along.
-From observation, it appears a song title is âBlue Neighbourhood.â Troye tweeted: âBlue Neighbourhood / Never knew loving you could hurt this good.â We assume this was a tweet of lyrics from the song. We also assume this is the lead single and the song he filmed his music video for. As of today, there are 3 references of a house emoji followed by a blue heart from. This is obviously no coincidence: Troye is hinting at something.
**All of the following song titles were found in Troyeâs Photoshop Challenge Video on YouTube. These song titles are the contents of his downloads folder.**
-There is no confirmation of this, but from the looks of his downloads, âWildâ is either the title of his album, a song off the album, or both. People suspect it is the album title because it is both a folder, and a folder âzipperâ. In the video, itâs labeled âWild.zipâ and âWild.â We assume the songâor many songsâcan be found in the folder. Something to corroborate the theory is the fact that Troye and Alex were toying around with the word on twitter.
-Again, it is not confirmed, but we can see an audio file named âExhilarate.mp3"Â among his downloads.
- Also lacking evidence, but seen in the video, is the audio file labeled âMy Youth- DFACE rough demo v4- 1.mp3.â To me, it seems obvious this is an audio demo of the song âMy Youth.â
-âIGH (SF V2).mp3â âIGHâ may not be the exact title of a song, but it could be an abbreviation or an acronym. It is apparent, however, that it is an audio file.
-I feel pretty confident about this one because the file is label as âSwinghouse showcase 3.26 Bite.mov.â I presume this file is the video of him preforming the song âBite"Â to a room full of people, which he described on twitter a while back.
 What is the deal with all the circles?
Ok, let me put your confusion at ease and break it down for you. It all began midday Saturday (Perth time). Troyeâs website was down for a while, as if they were revising it for the album announcement, and that marked the beginning of our suspicion. It later became evident Troyeâs social media avatars/ icons changed to circles of himself leaning off a balcony in a black and white filter. Also, he reintroduced some TRXYE promo/artwork to his social media networks. Soon after, Troye uploaded this specific icon/avatar picture to his Instagram. At the same time, Emma (Troyeâs manager) began favoriting tweets about circles and bantering with the circle theme herself. Connor had been offline all day, but he made an effort to specifically favorite one of Emmaâs tweets linking to her Instagram. The picture she directed us to was a sign that read: Create or Die. She captioned the picture with two circle emojis. Later, Nathan Jake, Nic Kelly, and Amplify started joining in on the fun. They toyed with circle references and it became obvious it had something to do with Troyeâs album. The next day, Sunday, Troye posted the same picture as before on Instagram, cropping it into a smaller circle. He updated his social media icons/avatars with the same shrunken image. His banners and TRXYE promo/artwork began to shrink, as well (almost as if itâs disappearing). The teasing on social media continued, and Troye acted as if nothing was out of place. It became apparent the circle fiasco is a countdown. To what, you ask? Donât worry, Iâll get to that later. Itâs also noted that Emma favorited a tweet from Dani, Troyeâs friend, of an hourglass emoji. This basically confirmed some sort of countdown has begun. He repeated the icon updating on Monday, but nothing particularly special. Tuesday was a bit more interesting. Tuesday, Troye updated his picturesâas we presumed he wouldâbut his twitter avatar was substantially larger than the rest of his icons. It was almost like he skipped a dayâs cropping. This advance in the countdown crushed some of our original theories that involved a specific time frame. He later changed his twitter avatar to match the other images. By the looks of it, I think the circle will be completely shrunk by&nbsb; Friday âs update, if not Thursday âs. If you still arenât convinced the circles are related to his album, let me inform you of this: Troyeâs record labeled tweeted circle emojis, tagging Troye, asking what all of âthisâ was about.
 When is the albumâs/singleâs announcement/preorder/release?
(these days are in central time zone) A lot of peopleâs original theories suggested Troye would announce the album at VidCon and release it sometime next month. Before the release of the full album, we thought he would drop the music video of the lead single, much like a âtreat.â Now, this theory looks unstable. The main construct behind this idea was the timeframe of the countdown. Many people thought the circle we see now would shrink to nothing and then regrow into the new albumâs cover or promo. However, with last nightâs advance in the cropping of the image, this timeframe is foiled. It no longer sets the announcement date as July 25, 2015âTroyeâs performance on the main stage at VidCon. Now, from the looks of the countdown, it is speculated that when the circle shrinks (presumably within the next couple of days), Troye will announce the albumâs release date, which is thought to be mid to late August. There will not be a new circle: Troye will simply post a picture of something revealing the album and promoting preorder. Then, at VidCon, on July 25, Troye will release the music video to the lead single, Blue Neighbourhood. He will stream it on the projector and upload it to his YouTube channel during his time slot on the main stage. This may or may not be a surprise. Troye might announce the release of this song and music video the same day he announces the album, or he may keep it a secret. I do not think it will make a difference from a business standpoint.
Is Connorâs announcement on the 24 related to Troye?
No, I think Connorâs announcement is about Common Culture, his compilation album. They are not related in any way.
  Again, these are all my own opinions. I am not forcing me theories on anyone, and I DO respect the secrecy of Troyeâs album. I do not intend to spoil the surprise; I am only stating what it looks like will happen, from my point of view.
