“I need to go now,seriously” you says as you leave a last kiss on his soft lips” “Five more minute princessa” he says,slowly sliding his way to your neck and dropping a couple of kisses. Moving his hands delicately on your naked body. “Stooop”. You got up and got your clothes back on. “Are you at least gonna give me your number?” “I don’t think so” you respond in a flirty voice just before walking toward him while he pull your arms in his way leading his head to be as the same level as your neck “Come on,don’t play hard to get with me” he whispers in your ears“Fine give me your phone” you respond with a little resilient in your tone knowing you really wanted to give him your number,jut didn’t want to seem desperate.
You sneak in back in your house trynna make the less noise possible,you were way past your cerfew and your parents would yell the shit out of you. “Where the hell were you Y/N Martinez ?!Coming home this late? You know the streets are dangerous by this time what were you thinking?!” you turn your head to your mom,standing in the kitchen crossed arms on her torse with the angriest face you never seen (if only she knew you were just hooking up with the reasons the streets are dangerous), deep down it was more stress and worry then anger itself and you could tell that by the tears who were close to fall form her eyelids. “Sorry mom, I lost track of the time” “Belive me you won’t EVER loose track of the time because you’re gonna be seating in that house for the rest of the week! Now go to your room!” you give her a forehead kiss and go to your room,suprised to see Ruby up this late,at first you didn’t really like sharing your room with him but it made the boundaries you guys had as siblings a bit stronger which really helped Ruby dealing with all the stuff going on right now in his life. “What are you doing up this late?” you ask him before opening your dresser and taking your pyjamas out of it. “I could ask you the same question” he says with a curious face and proceed to look back at his phone. You smiled at him and went to the bathroom to change and do your daily night routine before going to bed hopping you will get a text messages from Sapo soon.
You get waken up by the sound of a notification from your phone. Still a little a bit hang over you grab your phone.
“really enjoyed last nigh,trynna hang out today?”
You already knew who it was from,you were excepting a text but not this soon.You were kinda surprised but kinda happy wich lead you to dumbly smile at your screen trynna figure out what to send back. “Who’s that?” ask Ruby who also got waken up by the notification. “Nobody” you answer kinda drily, (I mean how were you supposed to tell your brother you were receiving romantic text from a guy who was from the opposite gang of his best friend’s brother? Safer to keep things lowkey for now) “You don’t smile at your phone when nobody’s texting you” he says while rapidly getting up form his bed and taking your phone out of your hand before you even have the time to stop him. “really enjoyed last nigh,trynna hang out today” he says,reading the text outlood “Mind your business Ruben” you answer as you snatch what’s yours out of his hands and leave to the kitchen for breakfasts
You looked at your screen trying to figure out what to send back. “Y/N i’m taking your abuelita to the stores,she needs fabric for a new client” announce your mom as she gatter her wallet and her phone in her purse. She rushes out of the house to join abuelita in the car. Your dad took the twins to their doctor appointment,your mom and abuelita were out and Ruby was spending the day with his friends. You were left home alone,and as any normal 16 year old who was left home alone one idea came to your mind. You asks yourself if it was really the right thing to do for a couple of seconds but rapidly grab your phone and send a text. You didn’t know it yet but this one messages was about to put you in a lot of trouble later on.

You were walking hands on hands,gettin to know each other. You almost forget all the troubles you have got yourself in with your mom,nothing mattered because at THAT moment you were on top of the word. You were his and he was yours. “Aye Sapo” a well build men was walking in you and Sapo’s direction. You looked him up and down with confusion in your eyes until your eyes stopped on his biceps,decorated with a 19th street tattoo, the fun was broken,back to reality. “I’ve been looking for you everywhere. They have one of the homies bro. We gotta handle that shit with those broke ass Santos” The unidentifiable men took out a gun and passed it to the guy you were supposed to hang out with. “Gotta head out Y/N”.He took his hands out of yours slowly getting back to his gang mates. “I’m coming with you”. You couldn’t even believe those words got out of your mouth. Sapo always promised he would keep you out of all this kind of bullshit, mostly to keep you safe. “Ain’t no way you coming with me,get your ass back home” “I said I’m. coming . with. you.” You repeated yourself,marking every syllable of every word. You were determined,everybody knew how suborn you were,once you had something in mind,impossible to get it out. “Fine,but you shut your mouth and when I tell you to back off,you back off,heard me?” You nodded your head in response. Without words the tree of you started walking, in reality they stared walking,you just followed them,heart beating fast wondering what the hell you got yourself into.
“Stay here” he says as he get his gun out and charge it.You had no choice but to listen to him cause you knew it was the safeties option you had. You could feel the anxiety going through all your body,gossebumps up lifting your body hairs. He got into the building,leaving you outside by yourself. A couple of minutes as passed,but for you,it felt like eternity. You stood there, a bit of confusion and anxiety in your eyes as you hear a loud banging coming from the budding.Letting yourself go you run in,only to see Sapo body down in the floor swimming in his own blood. You rush till your down on your knee at his level but it was already to late,the only thing you could do is watch the hole on his chest left by the gun.
“What the hell are you doing here?!” you hear Spooky scream behind you. “That’s my boyfriend you fucking cunt”
But it was useless,no bad word could take him back,no anger,not even all the tears falling down from your eyelids and they were a lot of them. It was to late. That was real life,no matter how much someone meant to you,they could be gone in one moment to another,with no warming. A couple of minutes before you felt at the top of the word and now? bottom rock. Nothing left.
