Moody Autumn by rhoepel
"Preparations" (winter’s ambassador)
Everything that grows and lives eventually sheds a portion of it’s self to nourish the next generation. The fall of leaves signals the freeze to come, effectively shutting down most of life for a time, but even the freeze will serve a purpose in life… Cracking the hulls of the seeds that will become the future.
The process of life includes death. Is it not fitting that death be in some way as beautiful as the new growth of spring? If we look at the entire process with the eyes of curiosity and wonder, there is no longer any reason to fear any part of it. Our time here, and the end of it, will nourish and enrich the entire cosmos if we just allow it to happen naturally.
