[Full text: 1 Kings 19] Elijah lost his sense of purpose and worth. He had lost the will to be alive. He complained his heart out to God. Despite Elijah’s words and feelings, God did not abandon him and say, “Suit yourself. I can use other people in your stead anyway.” Nope. God took the depressed Elijah in His arms and took care of him. He prepared food and drink for His prophet. He let him have his rest. It was like God’s way of saying, “Hey, Elijah, I love you. No matter what you feel and whatever it is that you think you’ve lost, I can never leave your side. I am your Restorer, Provider, God, and Friend.”
