The first photo is from 1956. It shows a Black woman watching members of the Ku Klux Klan (a terrorist, racist, far-right organization focused on white supremacy) walking along a sidewalk in Montgomery, Alabama (USA). I couldn't find the photo's author, but most sources state that it was taken in 1956.
The second photo shows members of the Patriot Front group (a white supremacist and nationalist group, formed in 2017, that openly advocates what they call "American Fascism") traveling on the subway during the 250th anniversary of the U.S. independence in Washington D.C., while a Black woman watches them. The photo is by photographer Cheney Orr, taken on July 4, 2026, 70 years after the first photo.

Someone mentioned how they were having a hard time creating a world for their fantasy fiction geographically because they kept reinventing the island of Britain, which also happened to my good close enemy George R. R. Martin. I would like to suggest North Carolina. I know that sounds absolutely ridiculous but North Carolina has an awesome geographic setup for a fantasy kingdom, I think. Inhospitable barrier islands, constantly shifting shoals in the sound, swamps with alligators, venomous snakes and carnivorous plants, lots of very flat and somewhat sparsely populated farmland, foothills, mines, mountains full of mysterious phenomenon that were originally very difficult to navigate and people still get lost in today. It kind of rocks.

i would NEVER joke about the batcock reveal... dc may have reprinted it and there was a whole controversy surrounding it (which leads to a bigger discussion about censorship and the prioritization of capitalism and how its slowly killing art and all creativity, both in inhumane deadlines and the sanitization of anything that doesn't fit a set in, marketable image—despite this even being published under dc's black label which is marketed towards mature audience and pushing more extremes since violence is more 'acceptable' than nonsexual nudity, which is a sperate discussion in itself!) BUT the batballs hang low and heavy in my mind at all time!!!!
You need to understand so many people were talking about this and almost all of them were complaining it was too small. The artist's twitter was so slammed with comments he got his mom to ask people to stop being mean to him.
