Back to square one...
I have been MIA for way too long. Too long for me to expect anyone to give a damn about what I have to share and too long for this to even be a benefit for me.
I want to do better, I want this to be an outlit for me to go to when I'm challenged along my journey to a healthier lifestyle.
So to update you, around two years ago I started working out daily, eating only "healthy"/whole food, and had a new outlook on food. Back then I was still in college and had exercise equiptment in my home. I also didn't need to wake up super early, and as I walked through my journey those around me kept me accountable and encouraged me to keep going.
Looking at my life now, I no longer have workout equiptment, I am no longer surrounded by encouraging people (I live with my finace that has worse food habits than me, but I love him and he is doing better), and in order to be able to workout before work I would need to be up by the crack of dawn (I am not a morning person, haha).
Now I know these are all excuses, but its my reality. I struggle between wanting my habits to change and not wanting to put in the effort. However, recently (with my wedding coming up next Spring- I even bought my dress already) I have desired to lose weight to feel more confident with my body. I don't expect to lose a lot, I just want to lose a little (mostly I want to lose inches) and be healthier with my food choices. One thing I miss most about eating whole foods is the positive mind set I had (I can be very pessimistic) and the energy I had (I nap almost every day now because I am constanly tired).
To conclude my rambling, I want to start with eating better (making smart choices, which I have been for about two weeks now), and if I can find the energy to start finding creative ways to workout then I will. And the whole point of me mentioning this here is that I want to write things down and share it here instead of making poor choices with food.
Fingers crossed that my motivation to feel happier, more confident, and fulfilled before my wedding does not fade. Maybe this will be the beginning to a life long journey.
