Hello! I'm the anon that asked you about timing for the Outer Wilds blanket a bit ago. Well, I was actually able to finish it, just working on the last couple touches now. Now I'm wondering, how do you recommend storing projects like that? Like I said, it'll be a Christmas present, so it needs to be hidden for a while. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi anon! I'm so glad to hear you finished it on time!

I tend to store mine by rolling it up, then bending the roll in half. Or folding in half and then rolling up? The second one may leave a little bit of a crease down the middle but if you've blocked it already then it should smooth out easily enough. I keep it in a wardrobe with other blankets when not in use. I hope that answers your question!

Hello! I started working on your outer wilds blanket pattern (which BTW is amazing and very easy to follow!!) and I had a question. How long did it take you to create the full blanket? I'm making it as a gift for my fiancé, so I've been sequestering myself so she can't see, and I told her it'd hopefully be done by Christmas but now I'm wondering if I lied 😬 thank you sooo much for the amazing pattern!!

Omg this is so exciting!!! I'm so glad the pattern is good. I think you totally should be able to finish it by Christmas - it took me probably a few months to make? Of course it depends how fast you are and how much time you have in a day, but Christmas is definitely achievable. The real time sink is the base blanket, so if you get that done you'll be fine I think!!!

Starry socks, finally complete!! I started these back in February, but got waylaid by top surgery and other projects - so happy they're done! I picked black and white because I'd just finished playing 'In Stars and Time' ⭐

Pattern: 'Stars in the Evening Sky Socks' by Cindy Craft

Yarn: White is random acrylic scrap, black is a lovely fluffy mohair that I got in a yarn advent calendar from Alterknit Universe!

I re-did the front and hem of this crochet shirt! I was never totally happy that I ran out of purple and had to finish it with blue, so when I frogged the exact purple yarn I needed from another project, I new I needed to switch it! It was super fiddly but I'm happy with the result :)

Yarn: Cascade 220 Fingering

Had an amazing time at The Big Flock last weekend!! I'm a bad social media poster and forgot to post pics. Everyone was so lovely and I've never been to an event like this before so it was awesome seeing everyone's work 🤩

My haul is from: Pixie Yarn, Butternut Handmade, birdstreet yarn, Thread & Yarn, Lilliput Wight, and Notion and Needle. I also got a pattern from The Knitting Shed I'm super excited to try!!

Starting a new sweater but because it's top down and a men's sweater pattern I think I'm going to have to knit down to the armpits without the fun stripes as a test .... I'm predicting the increases will be too slow for my very short torso 😔

A little honeycomb blanket!! A while ago I frogged my old honeycomb pillow and I've finally repurposed the yarn! Managed to use ALL of it too, and I had to split strands of the darkest colour in half just to have enough to sew it up 💪 stash busting king

Yarn: Scheepjes Chunky Monkey in 'Yellow' and 'Canary' (I wouldn't really recommend this yarn though it splits like crazy). Plus a darker border colour which I have no idea about! Oops

Pattern: I referenced a bunch of different YouTube videos for flat crochet hexagons

My autumn-tones hexagon cardigan!! 💫 I'm so happy with how all of the colours look together - and I used up a bunch of stash too 💪

Pattern: A classic hexagon cardigan - I referenced this video and added extra rows in the back and sleeves so that the proportions were right

Yarn: 'Stylecraft Special Chunky' in (I think) Teal, Khaki, Meadow, Camel, Copper, Burgundy, Dark Brown

I didn't hate the sweater vest but it was HEAVY and the size was just wrong 😭 realistically it would have just sat in my wardrobe unused. But the beauty of yarn is it can be remade! I'm coming to love frogging haha

Super-long scrap yarn scarf I made for my mum!! Plus a matching one for Klaus :D This was a Christmas gift but I kept forgetting to get pictures rip

Yarn: random stash DK! I think most of it's acrylic

Pattern: 1x1 rib until the cows come home! this is my favourite way to make a squishy, warm, reversible scarf

Got some new storage and sorted my whole yarn stash!! It's great to have everything more organized, and I found some lovely yarn I'd forgotten all about! Can't wait to bring them out of hiding 🌟
