i mean why would the devs be okay with early access or paywalls when they very very clearly said the game will be free with no DLCs
I said, in a discord I believe TwistedMexi has access to but is not present in, that it was "fucking bold" to release early access mods for an early access game, later noting that it was just "so silly" because it's a game subject to change at any moment, and mods are gonna break, and the game itself is so jank who on earth is going to buy into early access for it?
not long after, I was booted from his discord, blocked from his patreon, and a plague of locusts descended upon my crops, presumably because another modder who was being very defensive about this (and later released their own early access mod for paralives the next day) went and tattled that evil ol' waffle was out here calling out how goofy it was to make early access paywalled mods for a game that basically isn't truly playable.
Frankly, I'm happy to see that other people are also upset. And I didn't even think it was the end of the world. Just that it was silly.
Okay so they are not just bringing thier stupid paywalls but also thir nasty attitude and clique behavior

Reminder that Paralives is a FRESH START, so let's make sure that paywallers and early access folks know they are not welcomed. This behavior is not accepted in the vast majority of other gaming communities, they don't tolerate this behavior and we don't have to either. JUST SAY NO.

The way I like to play is all about letting sims do their own thing and following their goals, making their own stories, and kind of just seeing where the game (or rather mods) take me.
It’s more fun when things happen unexpectedly, and it helps keep the game from getting boring!!
You can mix this playstyle into any challenge like Rags to Riches, 100 Babies, whatever - It’s not really a challenge on its own, just a different approach to playing The Sims 4! 🙂↕️

this is something i know a lot of us do but if sims don't get along let them not get along - and turn mean autonomy back on with mcc if you've turned it off!!
Mindset:
Before you do anything major in the game - ask yourself “would this actually happen in real life?” Does it make sense for your sim’s current situation? How would it fit into their story? Try to treat your sims like they’re real people with emotions, goals, and limitations!!
Housing:
Don't purchase a fully decorated perfect little house, always move your sims into either empty lots or shells and fill them up over time!
We are allowed to move
If a house was built up rags to riches style we are allowed to ‘sell’ it for it’s full price
If moved into a shell we won’t get money for the property from moving out
Repairs must be made using the ‘repair’ interactions or hiring a service 'replacing' is not allowed
For every lot challenge we can put one lot trait that brings in a positive
- Simple Living lot trait has to be applied
Wants & Fears:
Try to complete at least one want before each refresh
Fears do not have to be conquered
Try to complete the heirs Bucket List
- Bucket List goals have to be randomized
If in a midlife crisis pay extra special attention to those goals!!
Personality:
Aspirations - Randomized allowed to re-roll the aspiration after each birthday!

📱 What it does (so far):
Sims must exchange numbers before NPCs can call or text them. (I've left in the Grim Reaper call & Wrong Number calls.)
No more unwanted calls from random acquaintances, old flings, or that one guy your Sim met at GeekCon 3 weeks ago.
Block feature! If someone’s getting on your Sim’s nerves, just block 'em. Byeee! 👋
New “Exchange Numbers” interaction under the Friendly category— but be warned, the other Sim might say no!
If you have Get Together, the romantic “Exchange Numbers” interaction now also counts as sharing your number. ❤️
Send Number or Block/Unblock a Sim directly from the Relationship Panel — perfect for managing contacts quickly.
Blocked Sims can’t call or text, and you can unblock them anytime from the same menu.
Bosses can still contact your Sim about work, and drama calls (like crushes or social events) only trigger if the Sims have exchanged numbers.

Custom Phone Settings Menu—Choose whether your Sim shares their number automatically or asks for permission first.
Per-Sim Contact List—View and manage exactly who has your Sim’s number.
New Social Interactions—Like "Ask for Number", "Give Fake Number", or "Revoke Number" for extra control and storytelling fun.
Reputation Impact—Giving your number to too many Sims might affect your Sim’s reputation… or attract unwanted attention. 👀
Caller ID System—See who’s calling before you pick up, with special icons for friends, crushes, exes, and more.
Privacy Traits Integration—Shy or Loner Sims may be less likely to give out their number, while Outgoing Sims might hand it out like candy.
Blocklist Consequences—Blocking someone might cause tension, awkward encounters, or even a bit of drama (if enabled).
Since this is a beta, things may still be a little wobbly—but it’s already making my Sims’ lives so much more peaceful. 😌

Adkins & Dubois: Rene and Yvonne met later in life, but act as if they've been together for decades! Opposites definitely do attract, and these two are like magnets. You can often find them chilling in their back garden, sipping mimosas, and reading out of fashion magazines.
Coffman: Yvette is a single mother and loves it. She and her daughter, Kristen, may be very different, but they are as close as can be. Yvette dreams of opening her own restaurant one day, but first she needs to make sure her daughter stays out of trouble and ready to face the world.
Pennington: Gretchen isn't really sure where she is going in life. She is constantly in-between jobs, worrying about bills, and stumbling in her love life. Hopefully her and her cat, Burger, can figure things out soon. (I forgot to include a picture of Burger sorry y'all)
Garber: Things were a lot more peaceful before Carmen's mother, Luisa, moved in. At least that's how she sees it. They've never had an easy relationship and no matter how hard she tries, she worries she is doomed to repeat history with her own teenage daughter. The kids are constantly fighting, the chores are never done, and her mother's complaints may be tiring, but at least she has her wonderful husband, Logan, to lean on.
Winslow & Baker: Joy and Kiara love their little life. When they met, Joy was raising her baby girl on her own, but now Tara has a wonderful step-parent in Kiara. The small family of three enjoy days in the park, trips to the library, and going out to brunch with all of Kiara and Joy's friends. Their community is especially important to them, as they often volunteer at the local youth center for LGBTQ+ teens in their area. It truly does take a village!
McLaughlin: Heath may not have aspirations as big as his parents had for him, but he doesn't care. He would rather spend his days fooling around with friends, working his dead-end job, and attending basement shows on a weekday night. Hopefully they'll come around soon to the idea of simple life.
A save file including more than 400 Sims, including 250 played ones, around 120 lots and plenty of lore!
After all this time, I’m finally able to share the first version of my save! 🎉 This save is the result of years of playing the Sims 4, as some of the Sims you are seeing there were first created 10 years ago (and some of them have followed me since the Sims 1!). It all started with two worlds, Henford-On-Bagley and Tartosa and 50 Sims (as those worlds weren’t being built by my brother Rope), but it was then expanded to way more than that.

Worlds and Lots
In order to keep the save reasonable in terms of size, I had to focus on a limited number of worlds. In those worlds, you will find lots built by me (and some builds based on original builds from @simsontherope, heavily or lightly edited) and the worlds outside the lots are customized using the TOOL mod.
Fully edited worlds: Henford-On-Bagley, Tartosa, Del Sol Valley, Sulani, Brindleton Bay, Nordheaven, Copperdale, Forgotten Hollow, Granite Falls, Selvadorada
GTW career lots are also included, as well as some other random lots in worlds not listed here. My goal was to be able to enjoy most of the pack's functionalities. Everything was playtested, and should be functional.
Sims
One of my favorite things is creating characters, therefore I have a lot of Sims living in this save, all created by me. None of the original premades are here, except some necessary townies (that I made over of course).
You might notice that some worlds include a lot of Sims (the record is Del Sol Valley with 19 played households) and some others don’t, and include more community lots. It comes from the way I started working on this save where I filled in only a few worlds at the start, but then expanded it.
All the Sims come with outfits (3 Everyday, 2 Hot Weather, 1 for the other categories, and a customized work outfit), additional traits, skills, careers, preferences, lifestyles and anything you can customize.
Lore
The most exciting part for me is the lore I created in the save file. You will be able to discover all the stories of those Sims in many ways!
Each household comes with a description, custom photos on their house for some of them, and even the books in their bookcases are customized.
Each Sim has many relationships (with family and romance dynamics, romantic satisfaction, sentiments), and milestones to tell their stories.
I can’t wait for you to explore all of that and their dynamics!
Requirements
I'm using all the packs (EP, GP, SP and Kits) and pre-order items that have been released up to May 2025. For event items, in case you haven't unlocked everything, these Lunar mods may help: here & here 😁
Recommended mods
No mods are mandatory to discover the save, but I do have some recommended mods in order to enjoy the save to its fullest.
My mods:
Overall, the whole save has been built and designed to be used with all my mods. But some are more important than others if you want to get the most out of the save (but again, nothing compulsory).
Multipurpose lots (🪅 Multi-Purpose Lot Traits, 🛒 Functional Registers, 🗝️ Rent a Room): I'm using the three mods on this page to add functionality to my lots, particularly residential rentals. If you don't take the ‘’Rent a Room‘’ mod, some doors in community plots may be locked (mainly hotel rooms). You can just put the doors back in buy mode to unlock them.
🧲 Improved Turn-On & Turn-Offs: I used this mod to set these turn-on and turn-offs, if you don't have it, the Sims might just have some weird preferences on other Sims' outfit colours.
👔 No Outfit Change When Promoted: I've spent some time defining the work outfits for all the Sims, it would be a shame to have an ugly outfit by default if you don't use this mod! The other mods on this page are also useful for limiting inconvenience and regulating visitors on lots.
🚷 No Townie Generation and Relaxed Filters: The save includes all the necessary NPCs and Townies if you use this one, it will prevent the generation of new Sims completely (there are already more than enough Sims in this save!)
🧑🤝🧑 Interact in Tight Spaces: As my lots are cluttered and are in general small, it makes Sims interacting in them way better.
Other creators:
More Selectable Icons - Zerbu: I'm using it for club icons, but as the mod can make the game lag, and I'm only using it for clubs, you can download here a limited version, which only keeps a small selection for clubs (and if you have a mod to add small business icons, it's compatible).
Milestones Expanded - Lumpinou: Useful if you want a more complete view of my Sims' milestones, you might just lose some information if you don't use it.
TOOL - TwistedMexi: It's only useful because it includes a fix that ensures items placed in the world are not deleted when you load a residential rental.
MCCC - Deaderpool or any other mod that prevents Sims from culling, because there are a lot of them in my save, and the game might remove them.
Visual mods:
Eye replacement : If you don’t have ones, those ones are great
Sunblind : Make the outdoor lightning way better
Out of the dark : Fixes the blue light in dark spaces
Mods for the save:
Those are some mods that I created specifically for this save file.
Open World: another very optional mod, especially if you don't have a very powerful PC, but as I've added extra stalls, bars and other stuff to certain parts of the worlds, it makes the worlds more lively. Once again, there's no risk if you don't remove it on another save, you'll just get NPCs appearing without much to do.
World Sorter: this mod just lets you sort the worlds in the selection screen so that the worlds I've modified appear first.
