Images from my second third handmade book! The adaptability of humanity and nature, represented in the form a butterfly; a creature that has been seen throughout cultures as a portrayal of the human soul, metamorphosing rapidly through unique environments and experiences. The bridge of two worlds.Â
Here’s a couple more from my first Photo Book!Â
These are several selections from my first handmade Photo Book! The title of my work is Gods’ Garden: Sensations of Malaysia.Â

Another attempt at an expansion. Probably my favorite out of the few I did over the break. The effect you can get from an expansion, plus the cropping make it a pretty appealing technique.

I’m Jake, a second year photography student in Milwaukee. I use a small array of cameras, such as a Nikon D90, a Canon Rebel (film), an early Polaroid, and sometimes my cell phone. I advocate the use of Instagram. But I also adore finished, professional looking prints.
My work tends to focus on moments in everyday life. A glimpse of simple beauty that surrounds that of a specific person, or place, or something else entirely is what I seek out. If I’m not focusing on a specific subject or idea, though, I usually shoot anything that catches my eye. I’m still working on developing my own individual ‘style,’ so a lot of the times my work is experimental. What I upload ranges from finished prints to class assignments and the occasional Instagram picture.
