he starts puffing his cheeks and crossing his eyes and doing all sorts of wacky faces just to make the kid laugh
heâs about to do his most exaggerated expression yet when keith nudges his side and hisses, âpay attentionâ
lance glares at him and mutters, âkilljoyâ but he still stops and tries his best to tune in to the speech
when keithâs sure lance is listening, he turns back to the speech too

keith lasted about 2 minutes trying to ignore him, but he glances at lance and sees the him focused on the leader onstage, and, well,
keith looks back at the kid and discreetly sticks his tongue out
and keith almost thinks he didnât notice, but then the kid smiles at him and keith melts
he starts making faces at him, each one becoming less and less tame as he gets encouraged by how happy the kid looks
and when he decided to look at lance to see if heâs still in the clear, he sees lance looking at him with the most smug fucking grin on his face
