@highfunctioning--fangirl
i keep reading that our steve didn't go back to the peggy we know but to another peggy to live his hea. but he went there with his memories intact, with everything he's lived since he's been defrozen. it sounds so depressing to me. they should've had steve and peggy talk like thor and frigga did, peggy knowing it wasn't her steve. they could've danced and then he would've come back to bucky and sam. and not old. which is the other thing i really don't understand.
I know what you mean, anon. We talk about what Steve’s decision means with regards to himself, to Bucky, to the world – but I feel like we don’t talk enough about what it means with regards to Peggy. Our Steve is not this Peggy’s Steve, just like our Thor was not this Frigga’s Thor. I’m sure Steve was honest with her and didn’t try to hide his identity, and we’re probably supposed to think she chose to be with him in spite of that, but I just can’t picture Peggy Carter doing that.
What I can picture is her telling him, ‘Darling, I’m so sorry life has treated you so unkindly,’ and dancing with him until morning came, but ultimately sending him on his way – not necessarily to be with “her” Steve, mind you (tho that would honestly make sense), but because she loved him enough to realize what he probably couldn’t: that he could never be truly happy living a life that wasn’t his and where he didn’t belong.
Steve and Peggy’s story is an absolute tragedy, but this isn’t a way to fix it or make it any better. As a steggy fan, I have to say I was much more satisfied with their scene in TWS, with the knowledge that Peggy was still there for Steve, that they had some time together and that she was able to help him keep on living his life than with this. This ending mis-characterized Peggy as much as it did Steve, IMO.
(As for Steve being old… Let’s be honest, here: Evans wanted out, and they needed a way to justify him not avenging anymore – which is ironic, because ever since ca:tfa, a big part of Steve’s arc has been about him realizing that he deserved to and very well could live the life he wanted to, so him finally deciding to give up the fight despite the fight still going on around him would have been a powerful message and well-characterized closure on his arc.)
Reblogging this for @padmedala‘s tags:
#one of the things about the ending that really irks me #even though i consider myself both a steggy and stucky shipper# is that the appeal of steggy was that it was a relationship built on similar/shared experiences and trust and respect #steve cared about peggy and valued peggy’s opinion so much #every cap movie has a scene usually around the end of the first act where peggy gives steve advice #and then it defines steve’s action for the rest of the movie #‘you were meant for more than this you know’ #‘sometimes the best we can do is start over’ #plant yourself like a tree and say no you move #yes that one is said by sharon but she is quoting her aunt #each of those is like the thesis of that movie #or at least steve’s arc for that movie #i could talk about this until i turn blue but from a story structure perspective #peggy is not the romantic interest. bucky is. peggy is the mentor. #the compass! is! a metaphor! #she helps him navigate the world and know which way to go#but not in endgame #she is reduced to a prize #no agency. no words of wisdom. no words at all. #people have been saying not my steve but holy not my peggy
(holy shit that compass metaphor. amazing analysis is amazing)
Has this been done?
Ok so I noticed something c r a z y
Ok so while I was rewatching the umbrella Academy, (it’s on Netflix you should watch it) and I noticed something jenky that blew my freaking mind. When Five is in The Handlers office showing him her little trinkets and souvenirs from all her past missions, she holds up a grenade from the Vietnam War. This led me to speculate that she had gone to the Vietnam War era to kill someone who was messing up the time frame, aka KLAUS. But if she knew how the Apocalypse was going to play out, she would have known that the rest of the Academy needed Klaus at the end when they are all fighting around Vanya. So who then does she kill instead of Klaus????? THATS RIGHT BABY ITS DAVE. To send the threat (aka Klaus) back to his own timeframe, she decides to kill the one thing keeping him from returning home, which is Dave, and no one can convince me that Dave wasn’t the only reason Klaus planned on staying in the seventies. So she kills Dave, making a broken Klaus want to return to his own timeframe, which he does promptly. This then kills the threat to time, which is what she and her organization set out to do in the first place. I’m crying now thank you for coming to my TED talk goodbye and have a nice night you hooligans
Head canon Klaus didn’t fall down the stairs wearing heels, Reginald hit him with his cane when he found out Klaus was going to wear heels outside. He then proceeded to tell everyone that Klaus had tripped down the stairs. Klaus couldn’t say anything with his jaws wired shut and by the time he was healed, he figured it was too late to bring it to attention.
Fuck me UP
Someone write a fic PLEASE
“You really shouldn’t Klaus,” Vanya scolded in the motherly tone she used only on him and Diego.
“I’ll be fine V,” he laughed as he strapped on the pink heels, his childish voice sounding careless as he spoke.
“I can’t watch this,” she sighed and left his room with her head hung low.
He chuckled and tightened the ropes around his ankles then draped his sisters pink boa around his shoulders. He stopped in front of his mirror and shook his shoulders jokingly while watching the pink feathers move against his uniform.
Next was his mask, reserved for missions and important errands that Reginald sent them to do.
He walked gracefully into the hall, he’d walked in those heels enough times to have good balance with them.
“Number four,” His voice stopped Klaus in his tracks. He chuckled then faced his father with a smile on his face.
“Yes, sir?” He tried to hold back the sarcasm in his voice but miserably failed.
“What are those?” His father pointed his cane at Klaus’ shoes
Klaus clicked his heels together then stood up straighter, “They’re high heels sir.”
“Where do you intend to wear them?” Hargreeves voice dripped with a venemous hatred.
“Well, the mission sir-” Klaus started to say.
He was cut short by an agonizing scream that came from his lungs.
For a moment he was stunned. The loud crack of Hargreeves’ cane against his face echoed in his ears and he began sobbing violently.
His siblings ran to where he was. “I told you not to wear them,” Vanya cooed. “You really shouldn’t go downstairs in them,” she sighed as she started to see how bad it was.
The pulsing ache of a bruise hit Klaus as suddenly as the cane had. Then a worse pain came. His jaw wasn’t moving as he tried to speak.
He couldn’t move it. He started to weep harder, he needed to tell his siblings what happened before they assumed.
His eyes searched the faces of his siblings then found his father’s.
He locked his eyes on his father’s for what felt like an eternity. He could feel the tears stinging hot on his cheeks and his blood boiling in his veins.
He knew Hargreeves was violent and didn’t like children but he never assumed that he would actually hit him. Especially not over high heels.
If Luther wore them he wouldn’t have been hit, Klaus thought to himself but banished the thought. He loved his brother even if he was favoritized and praised by their parent.
The violent shaking of his cries stopped as he stared into Reginald’s eyes.
There was a hatred born that day. A hatred that would only grow and fester inside of him. Nothing could be the same.
And for the next three months Hargreeves told everyone in the house that Klaus had fallen down the stairs.
Careless, he called him. Klaus would never be able to looked his father in the eyes with any ounce of respect again.
He would never feel sympathy toward the old man again.
Hell, he thought, I might not even show up to his funeral.
By the time his jaw was heeled he figured it was too late to tell his siblings. It was far too late to bring it up, and either way, would they believe him?
AHHHHHHH IT BECAME REAL AND I’M CRYING
“I had no idea you were so keen to die for me”
“Trust me, I can hardly believe it myself”
not even fuckin risking it at this stage

I finally read Carry On I love it so so much ;-:
the darker sides of Carry On
Simon killed his own father.
Simon always works to get what he wants without any hesitation, which is a starking contrast to Baz, who second-guesses every single motive that comes to his mind. Baz gets this second-guessing trait from the fact that all the people he loved died, or left. For instance, when his mother died, he grew up thinking that she died heroically fighting villians. However, when he finds out that his mother killed herself after she got bitten, instead of getting killed by a monster. This translates into a fact that Baz’s own mother killed herself without hesitation after becoming like her son. Baz’s years of self-doubt and withdrawal leads him to believe that if her mother hadn’t died in that incident, she would’ve killed him as well. He’s afraid of harming others (ex.Simon) because he’s already stuck in a mindset that he was the cause of his mother’s suicide. What is heartbreaking about this situation is that Simon, and most of the students of Watford always thought that Baz’s motive was to harm others, and Baz had to live with Simon who always took every chance he had to remind Baz that he is a villain. If Baz had grown up with his mother’s love and affection (even in his monsterous state), there was always a chance that he wouldn’t be stuck in the toxic mindset that he’s a harm-causing machine.
Simon always imagined his real parents as a loving, beautiful couple, not knowing that they were right in front of him. He grew up without anyone who truly cared for him, (except Baz, but Simon didn’t know that until later on), but instead of growing up to become cruel and unforgiving to others, one of his main motives in his life was to care for others, because no one was able to care for him anyways. He always protected those around him, whether he wanted to or not with his magic, and his actions.
For Agatha’s whole life, she felt as though she didn’t belong. Her magic was very weak compared to most of the students at Watford. She dated Simon throughout her childhood, but she always woke up and forced herself to play the role that she was most fit to play; the sidekick to Simon, the main character of the fairytale she desperately wanted to escape. She hated being stuck in her life, and even though she possessed the looks of an angel, and was rich, she would rather be a middle-class citizen without any magic. That way, she can have freedom. She was surrounded by people who always told her to “sit down, look pretty, but don’t speak,” and she hated feeling useless. It’s not like she wants to be the hero of the story anyways. When she has the chance to help Ebb, and save the day, she runs away. She runs away without any guilt, because she didn’t want to donate her life into being the hero for a few days, and backing down to Simon.
When pregnant with Simon, Lucy always wondered if her husband even loved her.
Baz nearly died taking this picture

This is amazing!
your friendly (but tired) neighborhood Spiderman
ok but imagine peter not caring about his secret identity anymore and not making any effort to conceal it yet absolutely no one finds out he’s spiderman. peter wears the suit under his pants and a jacket but literally no one notices. he only gets a ‘cool shirt dude’ from a student he doesnt know. he does the iconic spiderman shooting-webs-from-his-hands pose in every single picture. no one says a word. he enters the classroom through the window. just as him, not spiderman. the classroom is on the second floor. no one cares.
Sounds like college
