Why are people so against diverse representation and, when it's not present, making it yourself?

Who knows, that’s their problem to deal with tho. Let em rage about it all they want, I love it when people make their own diverse versions of things! It’s nice to see yourself represented in things, and if the world won’t give it to you, make it yourself!

Why does it bother you that she's white? Why does it bother you to make a character pretty? Despite her model being similar to others It just gets really tiring when people comment about the lack of representation and shit on white character's that are released. Overwatch is growing and it's not unlikely to have another character of color. So why bother to change the character's skin tone just so it could 'fit the story'

Thing is I wasn't changing her to fit the story and with a game and company as big as blizzard, it's just pure lazy to make a character that's so similar to their other ones physically, and also has a lacking backstory. She was lacking anything that made her stand out because blizzards got characters just like her and it'd be nice to see a char that feels like an actual person instead of some haphazardly thrown together edgy girl. Her other concept art was great, and she had potential but they kinda screwed it up when they made her pretty basic. I don't care specifically that she's white, I don't care that she's pretty, I care that she's both of those things in a cast of females who are for the most part, also just like that. Wouldn't hurt to have changed at least one of those things. I understand it's tiring to hear a character get shit on, hell I myself am tired of all the shit on this character, she's a cool design she just, could've been better when you step back and look at all the things and characters overwatch has made. She's unimpressive compared to the rest of the roster bc shes just mix and matched parts of them, so I changed the skin tone to give a suggestion of something different that could've been.

Hey? But she's not a typical white girl? Half of the overwatch cast is literally mixed with people of color. Why can't you just settle with her natural skin color, I don't understand what's wrong with a white female character. (It's probably just a preference of yours to change the color of her Idk)

Her bio essentially sums her up as a rich white girl turned criminal and that's great and all but like. Lookin at the women in this game like mercy brig widowmaker Moira we could've have another woc. It wouldn't have been hard and she'd have fit right in. Why does it bother you that I changed her? Maybe call it preference or whatever but, to me her design was somewhat lackluster and a typical pretty girl of blizzard. That's why it was my 'preference' to change her. I don't want any of that to come off as rude, but I was just expecting more variety from blizzard, especially in their female characters.
