𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍 𝐓𝐎: f / nb / m 𝐏𝐋𝐎𝐓: unrequited relationship? the setting is giving very ethel cain "preacher's daughter", little podunk town with these two "rebels", very sharp objects and all that. vibes of a gregg araki film where everything feels surreal or "odd"/eerie??? did the bestfriend have sex or is having an ongoing fling with the boyfriend??? are they super in love with violet (like unhinged in love like obsessed)??? are they just sitting on a big secret??? completely up to you, but it's a pretty chill slice of life plot for the most part but shoutout if you add supernatural elements. they're childhood friends and super close.. like SUPER close. think jennifer and needy from jennifer's body; etc.

Campbell didn't want to share Violet. She knew what she felt was a little wrong, but was it really? Was it wrong to want to love and protect the person she cared most about? Violet was her world, her light. For as long as she could remember, she wanted to make sure this girl got whatever she wanted. That's not to say Campbell was some altruistic hero, she knew she couldn't go on living if something happened to the other girl. Even on bad days, she knew being in the girl's aura could shift her mood. It had always been like this, Campbell on top, bodies pressed so finely. Violet's lips were the one thing she needed to feel at peace, to erase her week.
She had never been someone people liked to approach. She was scary, intimidating. Yeah, she was popular, smart, driven; she was a beautiful girl. She knew she would never be respected like a man would, knew her desires were too dark for the people in their little town to understand. She used to have dreams of burning the place to the ground, to hear their pathetic little screams as she watched from afar, holding Violet in her arms. She was mostly over that now. She knew she could crush them with her intellect. She didn't need the violence. Violet's little boyfriend though, that had her reconsidering. At first, she thought it was cute. She didn't care that boys chased after her love, she knew exactly what they saw in her; she saw it to, had always seen it. This one though, was troubling. She didn't understand what Violet saw in him, how he pulled her in so regularly. How he stole her from Campbell. She had even tried the boy out once, worst three minutes ever. He couldn't even choke her right. She knew she could do so much better than any touch from that man.
"The issue? He knows we are together right now." She said, crossing her arms. She didn't mean to act so petulant but it was just a boy, he didn't even matter. "What could he possibly need to talk about right now?" Was he planning on confessing to cheating again? 'oh babe, it was just a blow job, men can't help it...' She almost took him out when Violet had recited the line back to her. She hated him. "Besides, we were busy." She shrugged, moving to grab at the little flask she had brought over, the one she had carved their initials into.
