Can you explain Baba Yaga vs Baba Roga? And explain the stories of Baba Roga further in detail? I'm so curious to know more about slavic mythology!
Sure, let’s dive deeper into the differences between the two, as well as the similarities and interesting details. But before we start, I just want to say that “baba” means “grandmother” in Slavic.
Alright, so what I’ve noticed is that Slavs generally have a lot of respect for old women specifically. They often tend to be wise and protective, understanding and nurturing, mysterious at times. Many Slavs are raised by grandmas, listening to their interesting tales and looking up to them, which is why we consider them our heroes and ultimate caregivers. Such a strong presence of a grandmother figure in the lives of many Slavic people is reflected even in the names of many geographical locations, plants, and even surnames. For an example in Serbia we have the mountains Tresibaba, Babina Glava, Babin Zub, and villages Babe, Babica, Babušnica…etc. This has all lead to the idea of an ancient “Baba” as a strong and powerful deity. She is considered a distant ancestor of Baba Roga and her sister Baba Yaga. Baba Roga isn’t the South Slavic equivalent to the East Slavic Baba Yaga, because there is many differences between them, but still they are siblings.
In appearance, Baba Roga and Baba Yaga are pretty similar. They’re both very old and considered ugly. Both have missing teeth, a large hooked nose and hunched back, bony arms with long fingers and nails. The difference is, however, that Baba Yaga is taller and thinner than her South Slavic sister. That and the fact that, unlike Baba Yaga, Baba Roga has a large horn growing out of her forehead (which is where her name comes from - “rog” means “horn” in Serbian, so it’s literally “Grandmother Horn”).
Other differences include their place of living and overall personality.
As we all probably know, Baba Yaga lives in in the forest in a hut standing on chicken legs. She flies around in a mortar, wielding a pestle. Unlike her, Baba Roga lives in a cave, even deeper in the forest where the rays of sunlight only come trough once a year on Ivanjdan (Midsummer). She only ever leaves her cave at night, always carrying her large wooden staff with her. However, the homes of both sisters are surrounded by a fence with skulls impelled on it, and they both share a love for horses, owning the best ones by far.
At night Baba Roga visits sleeping children, she tucks them in and brings them pleasant dreams. However if a child wakes up in the middle of the night, she will frighten them back to sleep, because she knows it is better to be afraid of her now, than of the world that awaits them when they grow up. She usually means well, but she isn’t too good at showing it (except if you touch her horses, don’t do that, really don’t).
Baba Roga and Baba Yaga love and respect each other, but they often fight when they try to remember which one is older.
Baba Roga appears in the Serbian fairytale «Zlatna jabuka i devet paunica» (Golden Apple and Nine Peacocks).

this is actually misinformation baba roga lives inside the half-finished house across from mine, ask my parents
I have recently been getting into Hunter x Hunter. So I decided to draw all Phantom troupe members (aka Spiders) as Hollow knight characters. First up is Pakunoda:
She was probably the easiest one to do, since I just HEAVILY edited Shakra's original model.
Alright next one is Feitan:
I also just edited a bunch of Weavers together. Unfortunately I don't know how to do his hair, so he just looks bald
Bonolenov:
The idea was that he would be a sentient Gargant bloom, so I had make Gargant bloom much, MUCH skinnier. Also I made his face by his Battle cantabille mask.
Unofficial member, Illumi Zoldyck:
I think this is the best one I did. I love everything about how I designed it. I wouldn't change a thing!
Shizuku and Blinky:
I think I did this one well. But I am not sure if I edited the original molted design enough
Kortopi:
She has a very simple design so it wasn't to hard
Machi:
The moat human looking character, it's hard to turn it into a bug
Franklin:
I decided for his finger bullets to be caused by infection. My only gripe is that I wish I could make him look more infected, but it's fine likw this
Uvogin:
The hardest part was trying to make Uvo not look like 1 to 1 replica of Gurr (which I feel like I failed at). Anyway, I am pretty disappointed with how this one turned out.

Dragons from Middle Earth are some next level haters. It is said that since Smaug took over Erebor he has literally dreamed of killing dwarfs again and he hasn't forgotten their scent. Glaurung was bleeding out to death and with his dying breath he said "Y-you screwed your brotherrrr💀"
There are no words for the torture I want ED Libra to go through
Well, screw you too, HALFWIT!!!
I tried to make fanart of Friend from Deltarune, but I think I just made him look like Totoro doing a blackface
EDIT: I tried to fix it, but I think he now he juat looks like he is high on crack
Trobbio is such a weird boss conceptually. Cause even though he is mandatory for beating the game, he has no significance lore wise. He is literally JUST SOME GUY, who got in your way. He is not even possessed by the silk, he is just weird like that.
Like imagine trying to save the world and all of the sudden some Elton John wanna be , said he is gonna kick your ass
Relationships in Deltarune and Hollow knight are 2 sides of the same coin.
In Hollow knight all Yaoi/Yuri is doomed (potentially doomed)
Meanwhile in Deltarune all Hetero couples are doomed:
I feel like it should be noted that the Nailsmith is only doomed when he doesn't meet Sheo. Meeting him is specifically what undooms him. Yaoi occurs only when he's not doomed.
Perhaps Ze'Mer & Traitor Lord's daughter would've been a better example of doomed-ness?
Also, the Hetero couples don't really fare much better. (with the sole exception of Cornifer & Iselda, I suppose)
Pale King & White Lady? Doomed.
Plinney & his dead wife? Doomed.
Herrah & her dead husband? RIP.
Bretta's crush on Zote? Mostly played for comedy, & she thankfully gets over it .
Are we counting the collector & the random noble you find the key with as doomed yaoi? Might not be, as the collector's prolly genderless but it's certainly not hetero.
We don't know what gender Hornet's various dead spouses were, though at least one might've been a guy (welse, how did she find out she got the infertility curse?) - but not necessarily/ other explanations are conceivable.
Yeah, now that you mention it, there aren't a lot of "good" endings for HK characters, are there ? Almost everyone in those games is doomed one way or another

Greetings, I can offer thee runes, weapons and power, all the price of course. Make your choice
Didst thou not see the "no solicitors" sign
That sign can not stop me. FOR I CAN NOT READ!!
I think that if Silmarillion were ever to be adapted in visual media, I think it would be great if it were animated in the similar style to "Hungarian folk tales". I think the style fits, especially the earlier chapters.
