Full of the reflective sap
Though not entirely how I had seen this project going, the final outcome and learning on this rollercoaster of a journey has been wild. I truly think this has been one of the hardest semesters Ive had both in study and in my personal life but it has also been one of the most rewarding with learning and my work as a creative.
Though the “room” wasn’t all I had wanted it to be and the final exhibit for studio is rather crude and not on an exhibition level in my opinion, I still feel accomplished in the fact as I didn’t quit though I was walking a fine line later in semester... The process and execution of how I approached the designs in the project were flawed and I realised too late to really change much but I stand by the fact that the room was an interesting and good intentioned project, almost a bit tongue in cheeky with the parallel of mashing individually acceptable concepts into one incoherent room. I could feel that itch of OCD with the idea of such an odd room but that only meant I was on the right track towards pushing out of my comfort zone.
The creative commutes part I felt I may have tacked on to try save the studio project though I would justify that the content and improvements in my design and photography skills have been not just beneficial for my millennial social media sharing but also as a creative technologist ever improving and striving to understand every relevant field of interest. The editing and practical skills of consistently working on the challenge really came in useful in all of my papers in some way or another.
But I guess this is the end! 🤞
Quite the journey but hey-ho, I’ve always been one to take the scenic route....
