As usual, this month is all about creative freedom that celebrates the special and unique relationship between Yugi Muuto and Pharaoh Atem. Whether you want to share a story of them in the context of canon, or put them in an alternate universe where happy endings abound, we want to see your work! We love to celebrate his special love with poetry, fanfiction, art, or whatever you want to express your admiration of their relationship.
We want everyone who wants to participate to express themselves freely. Doing a prompt every day is not required. You can do one prompt a week, one prompt for the whole month, or maybe pick and choose which prompts you want to use for your creative works. Maybe you want to use multiple prompts for one work. No matter how you go about it, we want to see it, whatever it is! However you want to celebrate is great! This month is all about coming together to celebrate our favorite puzzleboys.

I used to see you around all the time and read your work in the puzzleshipping fandom, so imagine my surprise when I saw you followed my radioapple blog! I was just. Hey! I know that person! Hahaha. Fandom is a small world sometimes. Anyway, hi, hello, glad you’re in the pit too!
Hello! Yes, hi! You know, the amount of puzzleshippers (writers, artists, and readers) that I've found in the radioapple fandom is actually astronomical 🤣
Like at first, I brushed it off as coincidence bc some overlap is expected between fandoms. But no, it's like a staggering amount of puzzleshippers that have found their way into this pit. I've tried to figure out why given that radioapple is like antithetical to puzzle. Whatever the reason tho, I'm just happy to see some familiar faces around here! 😍 puzzle boys still have my heart, forever and always, and I still plan to write for them, but it's very novel and fun writing for a new fandom as well (given that I've only ever written for puzzle in like 20yrs).

I wanted to give this to you to lift your spirits a bit. Maybe things are okay at the minute but I noticed more than once you seemed to be down as of recent. I don’t know all the details but I know how reoccurring thoughts and struggles are. I started on this the one night a little while ago when you had seemed really sad. Sorry I'm not very fast, it takes me a little while since I don’t have an established digital art style so I fell back on what I know (which is basically color pencil)

Just worried, ive read your puzzlefics as far back as back in the ff.n days and you're genuinly a huge inspiration for this small little community. Are you planning on leaving puzzleshipping? 💔
No, not in the least! Puzzle boys are and will forever be my OTP.
However, after writing 300k+ of puzzle last year, it comes as no surprise that burnout hit me HARD. I am just coming out of a two month ish burnout where I wrote nothing at all.
I think I've just realized that I am at a point that I really only want to work on long fics. PWPs aren't cutting it for me anymore. Right now, I have 2 puzzle long fics that I want to invest a lot of time in. Adding more to that isn't sustainable.
I've also started writing for another fandom, but I have the same feelings there (I want to work one one or two long fics, not just a bunch of pwps). So, even tho my updates will slow down, they won't stop entirely. I love puzzle too much. It's a little hard balancing being a multi-fandom writer (but I'm working on it!)
The best thing people can do is show their support through kudos/comments/bookmarks. It's really encouraging to receive that sort of interaction on stories but is a lot less common in a tiny fandom. But as long as people keeping reading and showing up for my puzzle boys, I'll keep writing them ♥️
I will be taking down Moonlit Silhouettes today to reabsorb elements into another fic with actual plot. This is extremely rare for me (as someone who came back after 3yr hiatus and finished old fics) but it is definitely the right call. No matter how many times I sit down to try to finish it, my muse absolutely refuses. If you'd like to download the first two chapters, please do so now.
