I've hit a rut, and I'm worried about it. Usually when I stop eating healthy and start going to fast food often, I don't get back on the horse for several months.

I just got a fabulous new (part time) job that I've been running around to get paperwork and background checks and finger prints and fixing my car. I've been so stressed that the thought of making time for a run or meal planning has been adding a lot more stress.

I don't want to fall of the horse so bad.

Pardon my weird face here. I ran my first trail on Sunday and it was stunning! It’s so funny that focusing on not tripping on rocks and roots makes you forget about your lungs and legs hurting so much. I also love love love seeing other people hike trails. It gives me hope that people still love nature as much as I do.

The only complaint I had was a couple of women who were smoking cigarettes and smelled like booze taking up the entire trail so I had to run in the thorns to get around. I didn’t call that I was there, but every other hiker that day had politely moved over so I could pass. But these two ladies wouldn’t. Also, where were they going to put out their cigarettes while hiking? I got overly annoyed.

10/10 gonna run trails again.

I present, my best run yet this year! By paying special attention to where my heart rate is, I'm learning so much about pacing and endurance. I'm still not at the level I was at the end of last year, but I'm feeling hopeful that I'll get back to it soon. Let's get shit done.

Shamelessly posting my delicious dinner last night. I've had a lot of success just buying a pack of chicken thighs and a selection of cheap vegetables. This meal (I haven't done exact calculations) cost me about a dollar. And it's infinitely more delicious than any fast food.

STILL really struggling with drive as the temperatures stay low. It was supposed to jump back up to the mid 60s as of today, but it's still 30 outside. I really had to push myself to get up and do my off day work out because this whole week has been an off day. UGH.
