i think being an undergraduate researcher is one of the worst jobs you can have. like why am i making what's practically minimum wage for the city i go to school in and i have homework i don't get paid to do and i have to be doing something every last second from when i clock in to when i clock out

the continuing saga of rumi being poor: pay-what-you-want ko-fi doodle commissions are open!
hi friends! as some of you may know, i am a very very broke disabled queer artist working two jobs in the good ol’ USA. may has been a crazy month for me and i’ve needed to take a lot of time off of work, which means my paychecks have been… suboptimal. i’ve done the math, and i am going to need about $500 to make sure all my bills are paid at the end of the month.
i’m really sick of e-begging without being able to give anything in return, so — i have elected to set a ko-fi goal! this way, my goal is easily viewable and my progress is transparent, AND i can do some ko-fi doodle comms!
ko-fi doodles will be pay-what-you-want. they will be uncolored sketches, waist-up or busts, 2 characters maximum, completely sfw, on a 2000x2000 canvas. i’ve included some examples below:
i will post finished doodles in batches of 2-10 pieces as they are completed. since i work two jobs and have a lot going on this month, i can’t promise any specific turnaround time, but i will aim to have doodles completed within 1 week of receiving the donation.

requests can be as simple as just a character’s name if you want, or you can get more specific! just please try to keep poses and such fairly simple. this is mostly for my sanity as a developing artist.
i’m happy to draw ocs and the like, just make sure you link back to a reference in your donation.
sfw requests only. no nudity or fetish art. characters from nsfw properties, like nucarnival or dmmd, are fine as long as i can make the art itself sfw.
i am most confident in drawing humanoid characters. i’m willing to try out animals and other nonhumans, but please be willing to accept that it might not be a masterpiece!
i will not draw characters from hazbin hotel (or any other vivziepop property) or harry potter.
i reserve the right to refuse a commission for any reason. i will do my best to issue a refund for any refused commissions — i am unsure if this can be done directly through ko-fi, but i will do my best.
