Growing happily on the edge of this gravel drive was Pentaglottis sempervirens (green alkanet, evergreen bugloss). This perennial has a tap-rooted perennial with a basal rosette of leaves. It was introduced into the UK from continental Europe as a garden plant by the seventeenth century.

How do we find peace in a world full of suffering?

These days, no matter where we look, there’s some kind of pain—
