So I recently learned the Japanese term oshikatsu. In a nutshell, it basically refers to dedicated fans engaging in all sorts of activities like buying merchandise, engaging in fan works (fan art, fan fiction, etc), live shows, so on and so forth, in support of their ‘oshi’, which can be of anyone from a favourite character (no matter how popular/unpopular or well known/unknown they are), celebrity, musician, etc. An oshikatsu is also typically very open about their oshi and is often shared and celebrated within fan communities.
I think Frost is my oshi because I do fit the bill in this sense 😅 I literally gotten custom badges done of him recently and planning to get more.

Like, I don't expect everyone to remember heckin Saonel and Pirina, but the fact that Frost and Cabba, a Frieza Species and a Saiyan, get absolutely shafted even in merchandizing and games and such is wild.

Okay, so basically, I cannot for the life of me decide my next fanfic I wanna write. I’ve had several upon several ideas on what it could be, but can’t settle on one. You might be wondering why I only have two options then - because I decided to go with the ideas I liked best, and feel most inspired about. That way I’ll be happy with which ever one wins, and it doesn’t spread the vote too thin.
Now to actually explain what those two ideas actually are:
K-Pop Demon Hunter AU - (This is essentially a K-Pop/Dragon Ball crossover fic) A “Battle of the Bands” is being hosted by an anonymous host, inviting six of the most famous idol groups to participate. One of them happens to be our protagonists (insert boy band name lol), consisting of members Frieza, Frost, Zamasu, and Cell. Together, these friends will do their best to win the competition. They will face other challenges as well; learning to hunt demons after discovering their existence, winning popularity contests, dealing with peer pressure, accepting their identities/feelings, and more. Once more, can they stop the hidden agenda that’s going on backstage by the very demons concocting this event…?
Rating T+ (teen and up): There would probably some mild violence, implied sexual content (off screen sex scenes), and a whole lotta swearing.
Length: Not quite certain, but I would really, really try to keep this no longer than 30 chapters. I don’t want it to be *too* long.
“Closeted” Fic - Both Frieza and Frost are well known actors in the film industry. However they both have the big secret of being bisexual, both for different reasons, but still. When they meet for the first time to work on a movie together….new confusing, unexpected feelings start to develop. Together, can they overcome their nerves and anxieties to help each other be their true selves?
Rating E (explicit): There would be a few explicit sex scenes, some swearing, dubious consent, and homophobia. And overall just heavy drama that might be a lot to take in.
Length: According to the outline I made, it should be exactly 22 chapters. Unless certain scenes/chapters carried on longer, in which case I might add a chapter or two.
Okay! Those are the options. Please reblog this vote if you can, cause I really do want as much feedback as possible. Obviously, the fic titles aren’t set in stone, I’d still think of proper titles for them. But anyway, feel free to vote and comment your thoughts! I’m hoping the Astro Boy community, specifically for the 1980’s version, could help me answering this question that’s been bugging me for years.
Is there any particular reason why not all of the music from the 1980’s Astro Boy included in the official soundtrack? Is it because some were considered too short to be included or something else? There’s a some music from the anime I love but can never find an official release of it.
I know some episodes has classical music used in it, such as ‘In The Hall Of The Mountain King’ and one other piece of classical music in The Robot Vikings.

They banned transition in July. Today they're banning LGBTQ+. They declared LGBT+ an extremist movement. All the people who are themselves are now a “movement”, and the organizations that help them are “extremist”. There's no way back as they already banned it.

It’s been a few days since the gash happened, and unfortunately it hasn’t healed all that well. In fact, it might of gotten worse. She wondered if it was due to lack of nourishment (not having eaten since yesterday morning) or the constant moving and never resting for long. Perhaps a bit of both. This storm wasn’t helping the situation either.
A shiver went down Snowy’s spine as she wandered on a limp through the storm, desperately searching for shelter from it. She was drenched from head to toe due to the heavy rainfall. Even her cloak was completely soaked through, which made keeping warm impossible. Had she’d known that the storm would come or that it would be this bad, she would have stayed in the city for another day or two. But it was too late to turn back now; she was already far away from the city, having left in the morning, and it was close to nightfall now. Shelter was her priority right now.
While wandering, a light could be seen in the distance behind some trees. Maybe there was shelter close by… Making sure the strong winds didn’t blow her hood off, Snowy quietly moved closer to where the light was coming from. Upon closer inspection, the light source was from a small house. Close by was a shed of sorts, with its doors wide open. Her face lit up upon the discovery. She could take shelter in there! But if there’s lights in the house, that would only mean someone was home. It would be risky, but what choice did she have?
Looking around to see if anyone was around or near the windows in the house, she hurried over to the shed and entered, trying not to make much sound. Little did she know that someone did catch a glimpse of her entering from the house.
The shed itself was quite bare, with only a few tools hanging on a wall and some hay scattered around. Other than a couple of leaks, it was completely dry inside. Snowy took a seat in one of the corners of the shed, trembling from the cold. It wouldn’t matter whether or not she took off her soaked cloak since she’s completely wet underneath as well. She looked over to the house. It must be nice and warm in there…
As she rested, what little strength she had left slowly faded away. Hunger, exhaustion, the wound and the storm had all taken a toll on her. Perhaps… a little sleep… wouldn’t… hurt…
It wasn’t long before she passed out. She didn’t even hear the house door open or see someone coming over to investigate who went into the shed.
