Welcome! I started this blog to collect and document instances of Hinduphobia in the world. In India and other countries, Hindus are persecuted constantly, and Hinduism is slandered on the daily. But the narrative that is told is that we are the oppressors, when in reality Hindus have been colonized by multiple empires, including the Mughal and British Empire.

This blog will contain any posts talking about Hinduphobia and the reality of life for Hindus in the current political climate. I'll also be reblogging posts showing the beauty of Hinduism and Hindu culture!

As a Hindu I’m so sick of people literally stealing and discrediting Hinduism and our gods. There are people in our own country that go around spewing racist and hinduphobic shit about Hindu gods and then there’s people like these from outside who do shit like this.

Krishna is for everyone, true but it is also true that he was Indian. Born to Indian parents and raised like one. He was god but his avatar was human. Just like Ram.

These people give the same energy as those blogs on here that call Hindu gods “Aryans” and try to alienate them from the religion and culture. I remember them running dual narratives lol first they would say shit like “Durga and Kali are too empowering to be Aryan Hindu goddesses, they have to be tribal goddesses that the Brahmins appropriated.” (As if Hinduism doesn’t have the entire baseline for the devis in the rig veda’s devi Sukta itself which later evolved into these goddesses. Its sad that even some academics spread shit like this without any shred of proof.) and then they would turn around and say “Durga was an aryan white skinned goddess who killed our poor native Indian ancestor Mahishasur.” (It’s absolutely bonkers to identify your ancestors with evil supernatural beings from a religion.). Like is she tribal or aryan? Please pick a lane lol. this is exactly the kind of shit that the brits spread btw and these fools are still echoing it.

Ram was literally exiled from his kingdom and was living peacefully in the forests when Ravan the rapist literally stole his wife and all Ram did was fight to bring her back. Even when he won, he didn’t subjugate the people of Lanka or steal Ravan’s throne, what he did was crown Ravan’s own brother Vibhishan and Ram returned to Ayodhya with his wife. People who spread shit narratives like these about Hindu gods are so fucking pathetic.

There are literally blogs on tumblr that talk about Mahabharata and Ramayana with so much confidence and use it for content only to turn around and spew the same garbage rhetoric about Hindu gods.

I'm sorry but even if you are not a hindu and just see whatever our religious beliefs are as fiction, still you should treat it as more decency. You see, there is this thing called canon, aka what is written in the og text. Doesn't matter if it happened or not or if it is a bunch of hogwash as per your opinion. All texts say Devi Durga killed Mahishasur, the ASURA. No texts say that she was an aryan invader killing a local uwu cowlord. Not to mention AIT has been disproved. There is no evidence supporting that she is a tribal goddess either. And stop calling her north indian, when the place where she is venerated perhaps the most is East India (yes, the literal hub of Shaktism, aka the sect venerating...idk, DEVI?!!!!) He was “protesting against the Ram Mandir” but we never see them talk about the centuries of oppression Hindus went thru under colonial and foreign powers like the Mughals who destroyed important places of worship and erected mosques in their places. Also the claim that the entire river is dirty is false. Littering is an issue in underdeveloped states like UP and Bihar but it’s not the entire cause of the river’s pollution. Industrial waste and sewage remains the biggest cause of pollution of Ganga. The Ganga is pristine when it flows down the mountains high up and it maintains it’s clean and pure waters until it reaches the heavily populated and underdeveloped states.

Religious practices aren’t that big of an issue cuz Ganga flows through Rishikesh as well which is one of our holiest cities and you don’t see such levels of pollution in the river there. Yes there is some littering by tourists and other pilgrims but it’s relatively cleaner.

The government is working on managing industrial waste being dumped in the river and the overwhelmed sewage treatment plants. I hope things get better soon!

Also raCist fucking westerners should learn something about their own polluted rivers and how rivers like the Thames were basically a large glorified gutter back in the days when Britain was busy plundering and reducing the people of my country to poverty.

The funniest thing about this is that we were taught in schools about the pollution and cholera epidemics starting from Thames during the peak of Industrial Revolution in the UK. It was called the Great Stink and it claimed thousands of lives, it was worse than the pollution in Ganga ever was

The actual issue is the Indian Anglophile and Anglophone elites, leftists, progressives, D-stockists, and general Hinduphobes have been perpetuating this narrative that the "Ganges river" (specifically this river because of its emphasised significance in the western mainstream about its holiness in Hindu mythology) is polluted because "the dirty, superstitious, primitive Hindoos worship the river therefore it is so dirty", whereas "the countries where they don't worship rivers have clean rivers". This, of course, could not be farther from the truth. Industrial spills and plastic pollution is the norm in most rivers, very few are pristine and untouched. As you pointed out, most of the pollution comes from industrial spilling and dumping. A Hindu taking a holy dip is not the cause. It's just pure Hinduphobic drivel pushed by the Anglophile elite of India. The Hindutva nationalist Prime Minister, the Big Bad Modi, was the first one in 70-fucking-years after the Indian independence who talked about "Swacch Bharat" (clean India) and Jal Jeevan (water life) and pushed for better infrastructure and cleaning while the Indian Anglophile elite, opposition and other assorted Hinduphobic assholes bullied Modi mercilessly for that and even internationalised their contempt via their connections in the Anglophone world media.
